One thing I have to say, I am VERY proud to own a 1983 Laney ProTube (Pre AOR aka 6 dial not 8) With a matching 4x12 cab with original Fane speakers. Heard it was a nice jcm800 "copy" but more affordable. Got it shipped from England for $1400. It is my best purchase ever. This amp does most genres perfectly. It'll never leave my arsenal.

90s Laneys are super underrated. VC30 - like a working mans vox. VH100L and the VC50 are like a hot rodded marshall with a fendery clean channel. Underrated as hell

So great to see the AOR30 in the middle of that display. I have one just like it and also a K50R which is so loud we ran a disco with it at uni. The only complaint was that we had turn it down because it was annoying the neighbours.

I love Laney! As great as they are, and well established, they always seem like the underdog compared to Marshall. I love my L5 Studio amp for home, into the 2x12 it sounds absolutely wonderful.

absolutely. when i watched the interview I realised what a remarkable company Laney is compared to the big M: the CEO now is the son of the guy who played with and knew THE british rock royalty from Birmingham and built amps for them. Laney, other than Orange, never went away, never had to make a comeback because they were always there and had great amps throughout the decades ever since right at the start.

Picked up a Laney TFX3 head and 4x12 cab for $500 in Australia and it's a beast. Way too loud for household use! One of these days I'll take it to the backyard, turn it to 10 and give the neighbours a show whether they like it or not.
