Demo of Laney's 50th Anniversary IRT Studio Head.
This is a great amp that has multiply uses.
It is a 15W all valve head that also has a 1w input for home use.
USB output for recording direct into your computer.

I was wondering about the differences between this special edition and the regular irt studio 15. I really like the features of the amp and don't know which version should I buy

to be honest there is not much difference between the two. The Colour and they tweaked the Di and thats about it. Both sound amazing. If the regs;car one is cheaper i would probably go with that. Great Amp.

@@eborque I have the original and the only differences I see is the color change and what Andy Hillier mentioned about the DI. One good thing is it's loud enough to play with a mild drummer but you can always run it into a power amp or powered speaker or another amps power amp input/effects return for serious volume if you need it. Plus they both have all the fancy features like switchable wattage, usb, and re-amping for studio recording.

How would this work coupled with a Helix rack or an AxeFx? Specially if I wanna use Irt tube drives at beginning of signal chain and record using DI?

You'd want to run your Helix or AxeFx through the loop to put the preamp of the IRT ahead of either of those. I've found that a lot of the multi-effects processors don't always translate through an amp very well. At least when your running Helix/AxeFx with amp emulation and gain, they do much better in a stand alone DI-Out, mixer, or through a FRFR speaker situation. If you're using non gain/dirt effects and allowing the amp to handle the gain duties, it is usually pretty good. However, your mileage may vary. Personally, I just stick with a good old fashioned pedalboard for my effects.

I sold my pod hd 500 because i was tired of modelers. so now, i dont have any pedal. I really like for example the sound of richie kotzen, its not metal at all, its like a classic rock tone, agresive and power

How would this stand against having a head with DI like Bassbreaker 15? I'm trying to decide between the two for my home recording. Any thoughts and comments?

I haven't used the bassbreaker for recording. I like the IRT. It's probably a bit heavy sounding than the fender. but Both good options. Sorry i can't be of any more help. Andy

@@mellowmonsoon278 Feature wise, the IRT blows away the Bassbreaker 15. USB out, built in dummy load, built in cabinet emulation plus the reamp capabilities. The Bassbreaker can't hold a candle to those features. Cleans, Fender kinda steals the show, but really that's about the only place where it outshines the IRT, IMHO. However, with the right pedal setup you'd be scratching your head at which sounds better. For me it's easy, the IRT offers everything I want/need in a small amp. Besides, I also own the Lionheart 5w combo, which has very Fender-y cleans and Vox-y type overdrive. The IRT Studio is the missing piece for me.
