I like some of of his interpretations, some I don’t. Overall, I don’t dislike him. I think people dislike him because his playing is a bit too extroverted and boasty sometimes.

Wow! I'm not really a Lang Lang fan, for all the usual reasons, but this performance is really quite special... With a few exceptions, his idiosyncrasies are not terribly obnoxious in this music, and many of his interpretive ideas and tone are poetic and original. Love it!

People criticise Lang Lang for his gestures but he’s bringing FUN to the classical world, something that it’s needed for a very long time. Respect to Lang Lang, it’s not my favourite version but he’s great.

I love how people hate on him just because he is a little too expressive ("show off") when he plays. First of all, learn how to play like him to judge him. Second of all, even if he showed off a bit, which I think wasn't the case at all, he deserves it! Being a great pianist is not a paid-for spot but earned through hard work and dedication. Learn how to appreciate people. Jeez

In my opinion he is indeed a great pianist, very talented and he feels the music as he pleases. If he brags a lot its his problem but something I dont like about him (except on this particular song, maybe cause he was along with the orchestra) is the stupid effect he does on the song itself. Staccato where doesnt belong, fortísimo where doesnt belong, etc. Sounds horrible in the most songs he plays

Moi mème pianiste et amateur, j'envie tellement lang lang d'être sur cette scène, ça maîtrise de l'instrument d'une perfection sans équivoque me donne la chair de poule, son interprétation de cette polonaise n'est que pour moi la meilleure des versions, et qu'aucun pianiste que lang lang ne saurait la reproduire. En écoutant et regardant ce pianiste jouer avec cette tel conviction et détermination, je me vis à sa place dans bien des années, si un beau jour cette oeuvre me paraîtra parfaite pour être représenter, ce qui en définitif serai un grand pour moi un grand rêve.

I think I just died inside. People hate Lang Lang for the same reason they hate Justin Bieber or Twilight --> he puts himself in spotlight of all pianists without being as good as the others are. Of course he plays well, he can even play nearly every piece with every difficulties there are, but he won't play it with the feelings that most people feel comfortable with. The thing is that the public is not interested in skill, but in presence. He is seen everywhere, so people hipe him. That's it ;)

Though an amazing performance (as Lang Lang always does) Krystian Zimerman`s Polonaise interpretation is much better. In my opinion Zimerman is the only one who can play Chopin`s pieces perfectly.
