He began as a Paralegal at Mdletsheni Tribal Court, working under the guidance of Inkosi B. N. Mdletshe due to financial constraints that prevented him from pursuing a university education. Proc) degree at the same institution.
Throughout his career, Mr. Mtshali has held various roles, including trainer and coordinator in different elections, such as the national and provincial general elections in 1999 and the local government elections in 2002. From 2001 to 2004, he worked in the uMkhanyakude district, where he coordinated programs supporting orphans affected by HIV/AIDS. Following this, he served as the Executive Director of the Community Law and Rural Development Centre (CLRDC) from 2004 to 2012. It is worth noting that this organization had initially supported him in 1989.
In 2012, Mr. Mtshali responded to an ancestral calling, leading him to pursue traditional education and eventually establish his own translation company, Zizwele Ngolimi Communications. His legal background has also allowed him to serve on various boards, further demonstrating his commitment to public service.
