It is arboreal, living in coastal, mangrove, and riverine forests in Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, and Borneo.” (source-Wikipedia)

Hello Gabriel and happy new year. Not sure if you're looking for recommendations while on Langkawi, but if you want cheap (and really good) cocktails, there is a bar called The Nest close to the Tengah beach. The owners there are so much fun and super friendly. If you like seafood, check out wonderland food store (better book tho, it's always packed). Have a great time and thanks for sharing your travels.

Langkawi truly is a beautiful place. I am just at the end of 6 nights stay. I have car rented for 450 RM, nothing special Almera. I have been spending holiday here with my wife and 2 kids. Plenty of attractions like Mangrove boating, water sports (jet ski for 150 RM for 30min ride), visiting different beaches, eating at different places, exploring the island in general. We are active family and not looking to spend time in fancy resort. Langkawi truly is a diverse place, it leaves somewhat mixed fillings, but overal pleasent experience. I guess the most important thing is with whom are you spending that free time, my closest are super cool and so is the whole trip. Next stop is Penang and George Town and then KL again, but different part, not close to city centre. Prices are very acceptable when it comes to shopping like clothes, suveniers or groceries. The main difference comes with eating in restaurants or food stalls. Having kids we tried to eat mainly at restaurants and they were all sorts of them, even the one at the golf resort located NW and prices there were OK. It can happen that at stalls you pay a bit more then locals, comes as a benefit of being a tourist. If you have a tiny negotiating skills, then you can negotiate price a bit (like paying 80 RM less when jet sking or when buying more tshirts, etc). Fuel prices are currently at around 2 RM. My last advice, download Grab application (grab has taken over uber business here in Malaysia) and travel around with some local drivers from whom you can realy take some interesting information of all sorts. Its almost 1am, have to go to sleep now after unplaned comment I have put together on my phone device after seeing your video.

Hi Gabriel, what an interesting take-a-skywalk nature hike taking a lot of the hiking out of the equation. You would think they would do this in other places that have high mountain ranges offering a distinctive view of the landscape below and the supporting surroundings. It does show a business venture taking nature displaying it in grand fashion. It is just strange you don't see this type of exposure in other locations that would benefit these types of locations and bring in much-needed revenue. Besides revenue, it would attract many people who would find it difficult to reach the summit of these locations and enjoy more of the greater outdoors.

1) Monkey's tails over there are hella long. Almost makes one thing it could be an evolutionary mistake! 2) Topography of this island is interesting isn't it? 3) PLEASE be careful with bathing in the waterfalls, especially if the water is fresh, because therein bacteria dwell. I am thinking leptosporosis, specifically. 4) Black sand beaches are cool. I went to one on the southern tip of the The Big Island, in Hawai'i. The turtles were playing in the surf, and were great to behold. 5) HOT TIP: Oftentimes hunger is really dehydration and can be rectified when you keep really hydrated. This (of course) is not always the case but keeping really well watered is reallllly KEY. It is easier to know when you are hungry than when you are thirsty. 6) Man, how often does one see factories like this (at 20:10) where you go? I cannot recall the last one you showed us. I mean, we'd have to go back many years, yes??? 7) Ahhhh, the glories of good food, wherever one can find it!! Watermelon juice is wonderful, too! Gabriel, can you take leftovers back to your hotel or hostel room to re-heat up later for say, a snack or another meal? Gee, I'd hate to see ANY good food go to waste! I really would, even if it is as cheap as food seems to be down that way, where you are. I love fried fish. Maybe that is due to the fact that I am part-Southern on my father's side. 8) Damn, that sky tram looked to be going along at a pretty good clip, huh? I'd always be leery of a cable breaking and leaving one stranded up in the air, but ... that is most likely just me. I have to laugh at myself. With all of my damn fears, it's a wonder that I have gone to the places I have, actually, at all.
