We've got a $27k Torchmate at our shop. It has a "breakaway" torch holder that pops loose with those pieces that stand up after cutting- no special sensor. But even at $27,000, it's been plagued with problems and is somewhat unreliable for day in and out production.

Just worked the bugs outta my Z-axis THC. My THC board was fried from the factory when I got it in 2020...just worked through the troubleshooting matrix last week and LS sent a new THC board, asap. Works as advertised now
