I am new to welding and cutting and your videos helped me in a great way. About two months ago, the "welding guy" backed away from my gate project and I couldn't find anyone to do the project as fast as I needed it, so I started watching videos and reading books and I built my gate on my own even better than what I wanted it to be. Since then, here I am watching more videos :) and getting all kind of welding equipment and because your video inspired me very much, I ordered one of these tables using your promo code and I saved $100. I really appreciate how you explain pros and cons about everything and I am about to try tig welding. I probably wouldn't bother with it, but after watching your video about it, I feel like I have done it already :). Anyway, your videos are great. Thank you Mike.

I ordered the crossfire table because of you! It's due to arrive tomorrow (7 weeks+). I did use your code for the $100 savings. I'll never need the pro version for my home shop and I'm excited to get the crossfire table. With all of the options I chose my order came to $2450. You can see from the cost I did order the z axis control among others. I have Autocad experience in my past so I'll be able to adapt to Fusion 360 in time. I have watched a lot of videos showing how to draw in Fusion 360 and I can tell it's very powerful. One of the things that I see that is really powerful is the fact that the program will take a 3 dimensional drawing and unfold it to a 2 dimensional drawing for use with these tables. Your use of the table is really impressive to me and has really made your builds more professional. I already recently purchased an Everlast 62i plasma cutter which replaced my older Hobart 27i cutter. I almost purchased the Titanium 45 but they were out of stock and found the Everlast that happened to be on sale for the same price.

Thanks for another informative video Mike. I really appreciate how you break things down to pro’s and cons with honestly and why you feel that way. Especially with the computer and software. That was great info. I’m just waiting on the legs for my cross fire pro. Really excited about getting it going. Just got my new 45 xp hypertherm. I got the mechanized torch along with the hand held. Also with the Cpc port. Looking forward to seeing how it does. Also I love how you are able to build some amazing builds in your own shop. Some of the guys have these huge tables with all the top notch big $$ equipment and you can build pretty much the same thing at a fraction of the cost. As a blue collar worker like myself ......that says volumes about your ability and gives me reassurance I don’t need all the best money can buy. Just a good imagination and some knowledge from people like your self. Thanks as always. I appreciate all you do and all you share for the rest of us ..😊

A tip on your laptop, if you change it to go in to hibernate mode rather than sleep mode, your battery should last longer. Sleep mode keeps using battery power, hibernate stores the current state to the hard disk and fully shuts off power. Reboot will be slightly longer from hibernate than sleep but still much faster than a full reboot. Just finished watching all the videos on the CNC tables, really feeling the need now!

Another informative video on a topic I like! Pressing Alt+PrtScr will create screen captures or Snipping Tool in Windows accessories is another toy to capture screen images in more customized ways. There is also a program trainers use to capture dynamic screen shots for training videos. The Google is smarter than me and knows, what it is. You may have tried this already, but in the power options in windows control panel there are usually options for how the computer acts when the screen closes, choices are usually, do nothing, sleep, hibernate or shut down. Have a great weekend, weather keeps getting better!

I ordered one of these about a month ago (using your discount code... you're welcome) and should be here in about a month I guess. Really looking forward to it. I bit the bullet and invested in a Hypertherm 65 too... so much for affordable CNC plasma, haha. I wanted one already, but your videos helped push me over the edge to go ahead and get one. Should be a fun and interesting year. Also... I am comfortable in Inventor and Fusion360 is almost a clone of that. But with all the hubbub around Fusion as of this past fall, I decided to just skip it and go with FreeCAD. The paradigm is similar and it is powerful too, but it doesn't need to "phone home for permission", won't be neutered when the CEO has a bad day, and files are stored locally instead of on somebody else's computer (the cloud). You're correct though, a 2D simpler program would be even better though. I bet there's a perfect fit out there somewhere. Honestly, if you were to find a CAD program that's an actual great fit for the CF Pro toolchain, the search & comparison of what you find would be a good video idea maybe? I'd enjoy it, FWIW.

I recently saw a cnc mod that looked useful.Add a pen, in tis case a retractable sharpie. When cutting metal that you will bend or weld to later, you can mark the crease line or plate location. The pen would be adjacent to the plasma so that you draw then cut.

I don't know anything firsthand about these machines. The usual complaints are the size and the cost. To me that argument is foolish because the CNC plasma properly used eliminates a brake AND a shear. Think about that cost and floor space especially considering the CNC can handle 1/2" material. The big obstacle for me would be the learning curve of the software even though I am somewhat proficient in Photoshop. I wonder if Adobe Illustrator would work as well as Fusion 360. I am looking forward to your next video. Thank you very much, Art
@kmcwhq3 жыл бұрын
How does it eliminate the need for a brake? I hear you on the shear, I was contemplating getting an old antique 1/4 x 6ft shear, but then I realized a cnc plasma can 'be' a 3/4" shear by however long your long travel is....10 feet or more! Who needs a huge heavy iron shear anymore?? No one I guess.
@artszabo10153 жыл бұрын
@@kmcwhq It replaces a brake by cutting intermittent slots along the fold line allowing you to make very accurate bends basically 'along the dotted line'. Of course the thicker the metal the greater the force required to make the bend. Then' if needed you can weld the slots shut.

In Windows power settings, change your "lid switch" setting to Hibernate. That way it won't use any power when it's closed and you can pick up exactly where you left off. If you don't see Hibernate as an option, open a Command prompt and type "powercfg.exe /hibernate on". I think you might have to reboot for it to take affect. (Google how to open an elevated command prompt.) BTW, I really don't HP Laptops. My go to is Lenovo Thinkpads. They are pricey but bulletproof. Check out Lenovo's factory outlet to save a chunk of change. Get an i7 processor and you'll be happy for a while.
