Lani spent the mid 2000's having a show at the Las Vegas Strip, and her family still lives there. She is not classically trained which is incredible. Presently, she is in the Philippines.

she has the most versatile voice in the Philippines... she can sing just about any genre... follow her performances and you will see that she can mimic the voices of all the greatest singers... she won't be the multiplex queen for nothing...

Her mother was a soprano, while her dad played the piano. She was exposed to classical songs in Tagalog when she was growing up. That is the reason why she can sing like an opera. However, there are some areas of the Magic Flute in which her voice is a little weak, but that is understandable, since she is not an opera singer. However, with some training, of course, Lani can be one if she chooses to do so.

Nice comment Chris. Lani is so great that she gained bashers and haters who took the time to splice her exhausted version of Loving You. Lani was not classically trained. She just copied the sound she heard from her soprano mom and tenor dad. Moreover, her parents discouraged her from studying music since for them music is just a hobby not a profession. She is often pitted against Regine and is heavily bashed by regine's fans.

Hi Chris, In case you didn't know, Lani is a trained classical singer but she crossed over to pop. She can easily switch from a dramatic coloratura soprano voice to a ringing and bravura expressive coloratura and she has dexterity in the highest register. All that and she can still dazzle you with ballads to pop rock and even jazz.
