@@AnonaMouse007 Actually those who are more qualified than either you or I have a very good idea of his vocal range because it has been determined that Dimash's lowest tone is a G0 and the highest is a D8. Those in the know have indicated that a G0 to a D8 translates to 7 octaves and 7 semitones. (The average singer has a range of 3-3.5 octaves). I should have been clearer in my original comment so that no one would suggest that "we have no idea what his range is."

It's funny that you should use the word Virtuosos so much as Dimash is actually a judge for a classical music TV show here in Europe called Virtuosos along with his childhood idol Placido Domingo who he did a duet with last year. I’ve been following Dimash for nearly 8 years & you don’t get better than him & I’ve seen the best of the best in concerts. Check out the top vocal coach reactions to him and they all end up saying the same. You say that he doesn’t need to ‘practice’ but he practices (meticulous exercises) for at least 3-4 hours per day! BTW he is also an incredible human being - Goodwill Ambassador for the UN IOM & Goodwill Ambassador for the Congress for Leaders of the World Religions and Faiths. Dimash takes his gift very seriously. This is his life's work. I've been a die-hard Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers fan for over 40 years. When he died I was devastated. I saw Dimash by chance on a Facebook reel singing SOS and my mind was blown. Six months after that I flew to Hong Kong to see him live. He is amazing live. Then I went to Budapest, Istanbul, and Kazakhstan to see him in concert. I live in Southern California. Next month I will go to see him in Prague and Germany. He is an amazing talent with a heart of gold and a passion for world peace. He loves his country and his family and he is extremely grateful for his fans (Dears). He seems too good to be true but I promise, he is the real deal.

I found Dimash years ago, and have seen a hundred of his videos by now. While his vocal tone might not be that special on its own, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to say he's the most technically talented singer in the world right now. He's steadily grown his range and technique through years of hard practice and pushing the limits of not only what he can do, but what humans can do vocally. He's a rare case of raw talent meeting fanatical dedication to an art.

Thanks for a great comment. However, I think his vocal tone is pretty special. I really love his warm timbre when he is singing in the tenor register of his range. Oh, but then I enjoy when he is down in a low baritone, or enunciating in vocal fry - oh, and those songs when he is singing the high notes but his voice is so strong. Just everything. The man really delivers to his audience in the emotion he shows us throughout his range. Yeah, as the classic rock song says,”You Ain’t seen Nothing Yet!” Dimash is the most talented in the world, no one surpasses his technical prowess, his control in breathing, in octaves, in textures, colors and in nailing notes from low to high and high to low. The purity of each individual note. His runs are all so easy, that we don’t realize the technical difficulty involved. He sings covers, but orchestrates how he wants the instruments to come in, he composes, he a multi instrumentalist, And famous talents such as Maestro Placido Domingo requests to sing with him. @@debbiemorgan859 Well, I’m thinking that this song here in this reaction is a cover, maybe not quite a reinterpretation, but the early days of Dimash in, “I am Singer,” “Hello,” originally by Lionel Ritchie is a cover, “Sinful Passion,” originally done by Group A Studio, is a reinterpreted cover, the journey as starting out with SOS, SOS is a cover, a reinterpretation of the rock opera, so it’s a cover, and then this song here is a cover. “ Love is Like a Dream,” a great song written by Igor Krutoy, is a song that an older vocalist had made famous in Russia, that Dimash covered, pretty much a reinterpretation done with the composer. It doesn’t really matter, it only matters to me if Dimash does covers or not, but that Dimash becomes more well known in the west. Ha, I actually would love to hear Dimash do some Steve Perry/Journey covers, and more R&B. Nice to meet here on KZbin!

Dimash is second to none. He has perfect pitch, a 7+ octave range, total vocal control, and sings in 15 languages. He is not limited to any genre. He can sing with Pavrotti (and has), he can cover Michael Jackson songs, he can play many instruments, compose music, create incredible videos, and perform in front of tens of thousands of people. You should check out his concert videos. Also his take on Ave Maria, Stranger, and many more. Also check out his three-year project video called The Story of One Sky. It's not your fault Dimash makes you feel the way you do about your singing haha, I think anyone who listens to him will get that feeling. If you do end up listening to more of him you'll realize just how bottomless his talent really is and will show you things you didn't think were possible or haven't heard of. Some get discouraged and get some sort of inferiority complex, but you can learn SOOO much from just watching his stage presence, mic control, theatrics, etc. Dimash is literally in his own league!

Perfection is only maintained by lots of practice as Dimash will attest. Singing at least 3 hours a day and getting exercise: mostly swimming underwater to improve his lung capacity. Yet, he's humble and kind and doesn't try to cover up the gifts of another singer in a duet.

Finally! ❤️ I was waiting for this! 😉 Even though this is extremely beautiful and has quite a range, this was one of his more laid-back songs. And only a part of his range. He sings in all kinds of genres with all kinds of techniques! With perfect control in all of his 7+ octaves. He practices at least 3 hours daily (up to 10 if he has to prepare for a performance) He is from Kazakhstan, is 30 years old and has been studying since he was 5. Now he is university trained with degrees in classical and contemporary singing and is about to finish his doctorate. And there is more. You just listened to and watched destiny on screen. Dimash was destined from before he was born in Kazakhstan, and was placed to be the recipient of musical education that would make you drool. He is awarded as a National Treasure by his government. So you are right, since he is the greatest and most humble artist since Adam was created. You do not need to measure yourself or anyone on the planet earth against him, as there is noooo comparison. Not everyone likes what he does for reasons unknown, but people with artistic taste immediately fall in love with him, his character, his art, his frequencies which heal and refresh, and his travels around the world to international concerts, and his videos and mini movies designed to wake up mankind and create beauty and global peace. All his offerings are up to this level, and they are many, becoming endless. He loves everyone, and especially his audience. He has a family just like him that will make you envious. If you hop on the Dimash express, you will be blessed beyond belief. Great reaction! This was Dimash’s first time singing in Japanese - a language he doesn’t speak. His mother tongue is Kazakh, and he also speaks fluent Russian, reasonable English, and a small amount of Mandarin - however, so far he’s sung in more than 12 languages! (Be sure to activate the CC for subtitles, if you’re watching videos from his own YT channel - the lyrics are always worth understanding.) His name is Dimash Qudaibergen - Dimash has a long ‘aaa’ sound - and it would be nice if you could give the link to the original video on his channel; he’s an independent singer, not signed to a label in order to retain creative control. I can't wait for you to react to Dimash performing S.O.S 2021. This song is from the 1978 French Rock Opera "Starmania". As in most opera's there is comedy and tragedy. Lead character Johnny Rocket is fighting against a totalitarian force. During a battle the love of his life "Cristal" is killed and dies in his arms. When Dimash falls to the ground and cries out at the top of his lungs he is actually in character because Johnny Rocket does this in the opera screaming over Cristal's body while singing this song. Dimash truly makes you feel the pain of that moment. I've heard this song sung many times over the years by many people and there is not one person that makes you feel the suffering of that moment like Dimash. It has become his signature song all over the world. Even today one cannot help but feel all the emotion in this song. This is especially true with Dimash singing it, he leaves nothing out and his performance is so perfect it does not seem humanly possible. He does perform it in French, so make sure you turn on the closed caption on your computer for the english translation.

Dimash’s voice actually made me weep for joy the very first time I ever heard him sing. It was his song SOS . I have never cried listening to any song in my life before . I’m 72 and have heard many lovely songs but something about Dimash’s voice feels like a gift from God ; a holy thing; I can’t find quite the words to express it. And this feeling comes over me with several of his songs.I praise God for the excellence and beauty of his voice. I know he has practiced since he was a little boy and developed his voice and I thank the Lord for letting him share it with the world.
