Kind of a weird take but I was there around the same time as you and Lawson was definitely my fave. I loved Japan but at times it was kinda stressful / over stimulating and Lawson specifically just felt so calm if that makes sense? Maybe it was the more neutral colours etc compared to everything else. Every time I felt overwhelmed I’d just find a Lawson and let myself chill for a bit 😅

For the tomato pasta thing, did you remember to mix it well after pouring in the water and setting it to wait? I've once forgotten to do that for those knorr pots and it came out like that, watery and not cooked all the way at the bottom. If you ever try them again, remember to mix well right after water 😊
