It was all Colins work to be fair. But the modifications have improved it loads. I'm well pleased.

The KZbinr 'Long Suffering Hiker' described and filmed a great idea of how to make the inner mesh so much better. I took up the idea and my inner space is notably better now.

The dyneema guyline mod is so good. Im glad i watched because i just ordered new lines for my tent not thinking about water soaked lines.

G'day Dan, often doesn't take much to address simple issues and fair to say, same principle on a range of kit I reckon. Good stuff. Cheers Duke.

I improved my Lanshan One by buying one length of green 1cm plastic tubing from the B & Q garden centre, and cut three lengths to the height of the three guy line tags, (about 15" each) and then slid in wood dowling (14.5") into them, and secured the wood and plastic together with a dab of superglue. One the guy lines are pegged into place, I just place my plastic tubes under each guy line vertically, and the tension is just enough to lift and make the inside area of the tent bigger. Once in place, I can then use the strings as three short lengths of washing line to dry my socks and underwear after washing them. That's what I like about the Lanshan One, it's an ideal tent for modification ideas.

Fantastic upgrades, well presented Dan. And a good tent of course. Ideal for your SDW adventure I’d say. Sounds like @outdoorgearessentials offers a first rate service. Cheers. Warren 🤠

Thanks Warren, yes I'm really pleased. I slept in it the other night, and it was a nice place to be. Colin did a grand job!

Looking kushdy! What's the floor size like in the Lanshan 1? Is it still big enough to fit a little bit of gear round the edges of your mat, or would you recommend the Lanshan 2 to have a bit more cat-swinging room?

I have both tents. Obviously the 2 is extremely spacious for 1 person.. but it's a heavier tent, takes up a bigger footprint and is less good in the wind as it's a big square shape. The 1 is compact inside for sure. I had my orange mat inside the other night, plus my backpack alongside me. (It was a soggy mess in the porch) and it was tight but workable.

I'm 5' 6" and have no problems with inside space, and for me the 'T' zip system is so much better that the 'J' zip system.

Late to this video but everyone buying this tent, get rid of that stupid double hook contraption for the vestibule doors. All you need is a carabiner to clip the loops into. A win! Win!

i made something better. I've bought some mini snap buckle like the same on backpacks. it's so much better and if you dont use it you could make another connecting point for inner and outer

how long are the bungee cords and what kind of knot did you use to connect them. the 1/8" are then roughly 3 mm ?
