You're right, when you have Pogi who gods honest wants to win everything. For chrissakes he was racing in the sprint the other day. But seriously, in most years, the GC teams "take a break" so to speak on some of these days, but this year not so much. The break away is never getting a chance. There are a few stages coming up that Pogi might consider his 3 min lead enough and Visma may want to take a relaxed day to try and regroup.

When Jonas put in that out of the saddle effort and Tadej stuck with him without much apparent effort, I knew Tadej was going to launch. I didn't think he would go that far from the summit though. Jonas does not have the same form as last year, that much is clear, and Tadej is much stronger than last year and seems to be handling heat better (no open Jersey!). A general consideration on cycling today: top riders are now able to climb climbs between 8 and 9% gradient at well over 20 km/h; anyone who has ever practiced cycling knows that being in the slipstream of another cyclist going at more than 20 km/h leads to a significant energy saving; the consequence of this is that now only climbs that are consistently 9-10% or more represent a "neutral" battlefield, capable of highlighting pure climbing skills like those of Vingegaard

Pog slayed the hammer and he seemed pretty composed before and after his final attack. Perhaps the earlier losses for Vingegaard, that were better than he expected, came at the cost of a huge effort from the Dane and we're seeing a more accurate picture of where he is in relation to his rival. Now, it must be said. We've been hearing for a year that Vingegaard had a better team last year. Now UAE has 3 riders on top 10 and even Soudal has 2 while Visma only has Jonas as of today. Non-GC Kuss is something we miss dearly.

Froome giro: has to go from approx 100k If he goes on an x hit day, he can get ice water every 5 min, car always there, if alone. If x hot, that constant ice water was big help to Landis They can ask Tom dumalon how fromme did it Greatness today, pogacar. I did not expect such level of greatness.,my error

Jonas is pulling out his best numbers ever. There is nothing wrong with him. Yes he had a crash but he wouldn't be there and the team wouldn't be killing themselves for him if he was subpar. He's riding better numbers than 2023. It's just that UAE have used the reverse of what JV have been doing to Tadej, learning how to crack him, Tadej and UAE has learned what cracks him and trained to counter it. He's in recent interviews saying this (he's tweaked his training for the types of stages that normally break him). He's learned to stay cool, he's fueling better, he's just BETTER than Jonas is. It also wouldn't suprise me to hear UAE and Tadej used the Giro, especially the way the team rode, as a training excercise for the TdF People need to accept this and stop dismissing what Tadej is doing, he's immense. They both are to be fair. Jonas in the past has benefited from Tadej having bad days and really putting the hammer down when he has, this year, he's not having any of note

I can honestly respect this from Visma and JV more rather than just waiting for Pog to attack (which he will do even if he doesn't need to 😂) This shows they have confidence in JV's form. And it's probably the best stage to do so. It's hot, UAE rode a hard race in the previous stage, climb suits Jonas, worth the shot. Respectable performance from Jonas but this is Pog's year.

Why are people still dwell on the doping past decades ago? Can they not differentiate that today bikes are more modern with state of the art components? Not to mention, pricey for us common people? hehe. Also, good nutrition plus training and most importantly, unique human capability. The competitiveness and the will to excel and win can drives adrenaline to the max. So, just enjoy the show without malice and let the UCI do their work on doping.
