To be honest I was hoping Jonas can challenge him. I wasn’t expecting this from Jonas in the 2nd week, was hoping he is not to far back and can fight in the last week. He got bullied by Jonas and Remco after the gravel stage, today he served them his special menu.

I think TP will have to use his team smarter as that is where he has a clear advantage. He will also have to race very smart as JV is a fabulous rider with a very measured and disciplined approach, If TP wants to win he may need to play the long game and really focus on on not being to impetuous.

Pogi was working harder to put time into Remco and Jonas had more in the tank at the end. Race on, cheers

Remco should have pulled the others more uphill, guess he didn’t have the balls today…

Was that the first time in 2024 that anyone pipped Tadej at the line? Was that the first time anyone closed a gap to Tadej since 2023? I think gravitation forces have shifted!

Amazing stage. Was it the profile or the fact that second climb had bonus times that perked GC fellas interest?

Reports from the Slovenian camp suggest that Pogačar made a nutrition mistake, prompting him to seek assistance. This explains how Vingegaard managed to close the gap so quickly, despite maintaining low power output. Naturally, UAE is avoiding discussion of this fiasco.

I thought so too, losing 30 seconds on that short climb was massive. It is not the first time Pogi messes up nutrition.

Primoz, this winter season you must return to the snow and to the altitude... cross-country skiing, that will strengthen you, at a muscular level... a lot of amino acids, and telomeres... you will return in 2025 repowered

Primoz roglic shouldn’t be the lead redbull bora rider, he’s been disappointing

Roglic would maybe even beat Vingegard if he didn’t crash. He is strong rider in 3rd week. This stage was the best stage of Jonas in TDF 2024 and he was not much stronger than Primoz that day. If Primoz didn’t push on the downhill he would probably follow Vingegard and catch Pogacar on the last climb. Primoz had better reaction than Jonas when Pogacar attacked. Jonas was smart with tactics to ride behind Primoz when Pogacar attacked and he recover on the downhill because Primoz was the one riding downhill at the front and exposing himself to wind. Roglic also had better first TT than Jonas. Jonas was not on 100% and he felt it in 3rd week. To hold on Roglic in 3rd week would not be an easy task for Jonas, especially with TT at the end of the 3rd week. Roglic showed on Vuelta that he should never be underestimated. Vuelta is not TDF and field is not so strong like on TDF but he showed that he is TOP3 rider now. He also won Dauphine this year, he won Giro last year and few 1 week races. He is getting old but his shape is not declining. Jonas and Pogacar are better at their peak than Primoz but he is definitely nr3. 6.8 watt for a 30 minutes at Vuelta showed that Primoz is a beast

A big blow to Pogacar’s morale? What would you have said if Vingegaard had one by 30s? This kind of dumb comments by supposedly cycling experts irritates me big time.
