Two years ago, my friend took his own life. He was always so happy, or it seemed. I never thought the day would come that he did that. He was 11 years old. It was two years ago. I always feel as though it was my fault, and that I couldn’t see, or help him. I miss him everyday, and it is so hard to get by without him. His name was Cole. He was so kind, cared about everyone. She had dementia and I was her primary caregiver and I missed out on a lot of things socially and a lot of my friends saying it sucks that you have to take care of your mom like that.” I told them, “I don’t Have to take care of her, I GET to take care of her.” People nowadays take their parents for granted, life is too short.
