Lanzarote Airport Museum

We visited the airport museum at Lanzarote Airport. It's located in the old terminal and control tower building on the current airport complex, and gives a fascinating insight into a time when travel was rarer and much more genteel.

Hi Mike, it's a fascinating museum and a good way of spending some time before you have to catch one's flight home. I wish it was advertised a bit more at the new airport also its free to enter. Regards Chris uk.

Really interesting video Mike - thanks. I have always been amazed at how the corner of the museum sticks right out and almost touches the LZ2! There are no crash barriers or anything to protect the corner, which is only about 12 inches from the LZ2 tarmac. What the road planners were thinking, I have no idea! 🙄🙄🙄

Went in there 2018. Great display. Even had a bundle of models made from water bottles. And the video of the big square tower on fire. Also good happy staff.

I visited many moons ago. The display was a little disappointing and thin on the ground. However the staff were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful, enthusiastic and informative.

It’s a cracking little place. You could drop in on your way back to the airport when heading home.

That was the plan this time but we didn't want to rush the visit. Hopefully we'll be back out in Charco later in the year so will plan to visit then.​@@LanzaroteInformation

Hiya seeing the policeman having a drink at the bar reminded me of when we used to go to Fred's Bar in Calle Bajamar there were often police having a drink in there
