We witnessed this event in September 2023 but unintentionally. We'd gone out for a drive and on the way back to Charco struggled with various road closures. We ended up driving through what looked like a huge fairground woth rides and attractions.

Wow i didnt know this about the taxi service. We stayed for a week in playa-blanca from 14.12 so experienced the super calima and by god to this day 05.01.25 my lungs are still suffering. Id never heard of them before but for sure i will not return as its to risky to my health 😢 my GP couldnt believe how bad it had impacted my breathing so i would advise anyone with compromised lung functioning to avoid visiting when theres a calima happening. If anyone has any other advice to help limit the impact I'd be all ears as i love the canaries ❤

Ich war 2 Wochen zur Weihnachtszeit auf Lanzarote und war ein wenig vom Wetter enttäuscht, es war mir zu kalt. Letzten Winter war dort wunderschön, warm wie im Sommer, aber dieses Jahr war nicht so schön. Es haben sich so viele dort erkältet, das Husten hörte man überall. Ansonsten das Meer wie immer, Strand wie immer , mein Hotel mit dem leckeren Essen noch besser als letztes Jahr. Lanzarote ist Winterurlabs wert👍Saludos de frio Hamburgo🙋‍♀️

We are due there on the 19th Jan, for 10 days, good to see the EU is making everyine get "Numbers" i used to be involved in Int Procurement, the worst place to deal with was the EU, (even before Brexit) oh well progress, we have travelled a lot for work & holidays but this will be our first time in Lanzarote, looking forward to getting to somewhere a bit warmer :-) thanks for all the info subscribed.

Hi Mike, First, I was wondering if it is easy to find and are their enough chargingstations for electric cars. This year I’m thinking to rent an EV when we are in Lanzarote. Second, I rent for over 15 years at Cabrera Medina but I’ve noticed that the prices at PlusCar are far mor interesting. Is PlusCar as good as Cabrera Medina? Cu Kristiaan

Hi Mike loving your videos thanks. A couple of questions I hope you can help with I have tried Google but nothing really. We spend most of the winter here and I would like to know do any of the cruises originate from Arricefe? The other question regarding learning Spanish I listen to podcasts etc and read but could do with more talking practice but I can’t seem to find an Intercambio in PSC. I attended one once but there was a lot of flirting going on ( Maybe I just picked the wrong night🤣) so my question is where might I find one or is anyone interested this too. Have a good weekend…

Interesting to hear the stats on crime. We often comment that there are near zero visible signs of crime anywhere in Lanzarote, even low-level things like pickpocketing which is rife in many tourism-centric destinations. I'd be interested to know what types of offences make up the bulk of the statistics. The Canaries overall feel like by far the safest holiday destination we've been to over the years.

I have used assistance for my Daughter for the last 5 years and the service has always been brilliant. We always had a special place to wait while waiting for our flight. The new place looks better as it will stop people who don’t need assistance taking up seats like they used to do. At least they have a special place as Dublin Airport does not have a place and we struggle to find somewhere to sit. We are looking forward to being back in August. Thank you for all the updates you do.
