Back home after 10 days in PdC mainly. Got absolutely drenched in Playa Blanca on Thursday then again in Arrecife on Friday, was not expecting that 😂 All good fun though. Not back again until next November but will continue to watch your news each week. Cheers.

First time visitors first week in November and calima aside we were fortunate to have perfect weather. Some trepidation over recent protests and can fully sympathise that the large hotels surrounding Coasta Teguise are monstrosities. Hope we can all coexist as we would love to return. We were driving through Haria and up to Arrieta yesterday, and some of the rain was biblical! Cars had to stop where they were as we couldn't see!

Thanks as always, in PB at the moment I wonder if you have see the new Aldi store on the Femes road just as you leave PB. In a week its gone from concrete slab to a store with wall, ceiling and tiles inside. We have walked past as late as midnight and they have still been working.

Thank you so much for this. Walked to Puerto del Carmen, then climbed Montana Blanca from the Harbour and back to Playa Honda the day before yesterday. Got very wet! Very interested in the water issues. Wrote about this a couple of years back. Do you work with the Gazette at all? I'd love to write for them! We live over here during the winter and have done for a few years and I'm really interested in getting more involved in what's happening here. Thanks for the great product!

Went to Porto Calero today, very sad most of the shops are empty, I guess the rent is too high ? Almost nothing there now except food outlets

My view is that most people go to Puerto Calero to enjoy the bars and restaurants, submarine and catamaran, rather than go shopping at high end establishments. I think it was the lack of sales, rather than the high overhead that caused them to move elsewhere.

I hope Gloria group get the opportunity to build a hotel on that land, as i know they are a very good hotel group. We have stayed many times at the Gloria Izaro in PDC and am also aware of how lovely the hotels are , that they have in Gran Canaria.

Hi Mike just watched your video, we in Playa Blanca at the moment,just wondering were about the new Lidle is?We have probably walked past it,a few buildings going up but none look nearly finished,we went on bus to purto del Carmen last week no one told us how fast they drive them felt like we on a fair ride😮🤣🤣

No need to be sorry. Most “Face to camera” videos are a mirror image, so I can see if I’m in the frame correctly. I could solve it by hiring a cameraman!
