Chris, love your channel! Don't forget you have many native English speakers who are learning mandarin who watch your videos - I miss the English subtitles when you're speaking Mandarin!

Thank you for another cool video. I definitely think that there are more Americans now that can speak another language other than English than there were when I was growing up in the 1970s and 80s.

I am watching this video while trying to recommend my videos of teaching Chinese in a funny way to those who want to learn Chinese. Chinese is not that difficult to learn as many people imagine. Chinese primary school pupils can easily learn 3000 characters, which cover 99 percent of Chinese characters in newspapers and books.

Chinese is actually very simple and easy to learn, and I don't know why the saying that Chinese is the most difficult comes out
@siddhanthbhattacharyya4206 Жыл бұрын
@@zhuanzhenfan As someone who is studying Chinese rn, I think learning vocab and grammar is simple enough, but reading and writing hanzi is going to take a lot of practice for me, simply because I do not come across these hanzi in my daily life and have to make extra efforts to remember, if I was in a Chinese environment I'd probably learn way faster, I reckon. For eg: 學 和 寫 I used to end up getting confused between these two because of the pronunciation as well as the look

@@youreboichips3872 Your English is also pretty well! I have some Malaysian Chinese friends, they told me they learnt three languages at school, which are Malay, English and Mandarin, and speak a Chinese dialect at home. As Malaysian can watch TVB series at home, and several Malaysian Chinese have Canton roots, so lots of them can speak Cantonese naturally.
