Wow I just got this video recommended and I'm shocked how good his Chinese is. Most foreigners who learn Chinese struggle with the R sound (especially in certain dialects) but yours literally sounds like a native, it's so shocking. I see a lot of "white guy impresses foreigners with NATIVE Chinese" but it's always obvious they have an accent, but this one is something else! If I was approached by that Patrick I'd think you're truly Chinese lol

Chinese is one of those languages that you don't expect a non-ethnic to speak so well. I love their reactions. I am impressed with the English of so many of them in their spontaneous remarks.

支持你的观点，我觉得一方面确实和他的性格有关吧，如果我对一门外语炉火纯青，也会保持谦虚谨慎的态度。另一方面估计是跟他要推销课程有关。我觉得学一门语言的目的是在于使用，不是在于炫技，能使得交流对象知道自己的意思即可，去追求地道发音不是学习的主要矛盾。
