Because of this railway, Laos has, from a landlocked to a land linked country, thanks to the Chinese & the Laos government + the support of the peoples from both countries. Japan helped India build a high-speed railway, which only paved 10 kilometers. Japan helped Vietnam build a high-speed railway. Ten years have passed, but not even one kilometer has been completed. On the other hand, the railways that China helps other countries build can be completed in about 3 years.

@@SQUEEZEtheDAY i guess two reasons: 1. japan cost is much higher than china, probably 3 times at least, not every sea country could afford japan price honesty 2. sometime politics also an important fact to choose the builder

Don't spread your stupidity. Indian Shinkansen high speed railway construction is progressing at a rapid pace. The delay was due to land acquisition issues. This is now resolved. unlike China, India is a democratic country and has its complexity and delays when acquiring land. The expected completion is 2024 - 2025

@@SQUEEZEtheDAY a number of reasons. 1. When bidding for those railway projects, Japan made promises that they could not fulfill, such as ultra-low interest loans. When Japan vied for those projects, they had geopolitics in mind, but China is more practical and takes these infrastructure projects very seriously. 2. China is very proficient in implementing those projects because it has many state-owned specialized companies, and these companies have a sufficient and cost-effective supply chain network. 3. China keeps its promises, even if it comes at a cost.

There is no doubt that this railway line has turned the land-locked Laos into a land-based hub for both passengers and goods across the region. This can only bring economic progress to all the people involved! Indeed, this must be the successful part of the railway link proposed by ASEAN over 3 decades ago!!

8:23 talking about "the engine" and "the passenger cars". Just a bit basic knowledge about the high-speed train. There is no such thing as an "engine" in a high-speed train. Unlike the traditional train such as Amtrak, that big diesel or electric locomotive in front to pull the rest of the train, in a high-speed train the power is distributed. In other words, all "passenger cars" are equipped with motors to drive themselves. What is in the front (and also in the back) is just a cabin for the driver or the "conductor" to control the train. By the way, the "passenger cars" in a high-speed train are part of the entire train, they cannot be rearranged, disconnected or re-connected, as the passenger cars of a traditional train usually do.

@ipfreak
@ipfreak Жыл бұрын
@@sirisakpimchan7014 HSR tracks are usually used in high-speed railways or rapid passenger railways, which have high requirements on speed and safety. There are certain differences and requirements between high-speed rail tracks and ordinary rail tracks in terms of design, materials, manufacturing processes, usage environment, and maintenance details. Those differences are mainly to adapt to different types of railway transportation requirements. the precision requirements on HSR tracks are higher. that includes track gauge (the distance between two tracks), track bases, etc., to ensure the stability and safety of trains when traveling at high speeds. HSR tracks are usually made of high-quality steel with high strength and wear resistance to cope with the operating requirements of high-speed trains. Ordinary rails may use more conventional steel or other materials. The manufacturing process of HSR tracks is more stringent and precise than that of ordinary rails, including material selection, heat treatment, molding, polishing and other links to improve their quality and lifespan. Due to the high-speed on characteristics and usage environment of HSR tracks, their maintenance requirements are more strict. Regular inspection, grinding or replacement are routine operations for HSR maintenance. The maintenance of ordinary railway tracks is relatively simple, but of course routine maintenance work such as inspection and bolt tightening is still required.

"100% made in China", yes. "totally the same as here in China", not exactly. I believe this train runs on passenger/cargo railway, and most of the railway is single tracked. It runs at around 160 km/hr. In China, almost all G and D trains run on dedicated railway, and double tracked. He-Xie (和谐号) usually runs at 280 to 300 km/hr, whereas Fu-Xin (复兴号) runs at around 350 km/hr.

The Chinese built a high-speed road in the Middle Ages! Why is the train station closed? Why make people wait for 2 hours outside in the heat, if there's plenty of room inside? How can such a beautiful place be used so barbarically.

I think there must be a reason for such management of the train station. With so many people using the train transport, the management may not want non passengers to be loitering in the building without a good reason and unnecessarily occupying the limited indoor seats of the station.

We were able to access the eating area inside/upstairs. It didn't have a large variety of food, plus people wanted to be able to buy seats on the train. It's so popular that it can be difficult to get one. We really were blessed to get to the front of the line. We think they're doing great with the equipment they have.

I lived in Aisa for a long time Im very suspicious of this Beijing to Singapore train plan very few people in SEA can affordd to use it or go to china and if they can will likely fly anyway China doesnt do generous there will be a reason for them paying for this but not obvious for now as they play the long game best part of travel in this region is slow moving gentle transport wheres the fun in a HSR

The train that Cindy and Eddie take is not HSR but with max. speed of 160kmh...from the video we can see that the train is full so it's affordable for local people. From a development point of view: Investment in railways > more business in SEA > more income of people > more consumption, that's the way to have better life otherwise people have to take the slow train all the time...everyone in the world deserves a good life.

The word Chinese debt trap was initially campaigned by India when it lost to competition in Sri Lanka, now it has become the theme of a black western campaign to stem China. . Should China give aid for free? Yes, that's right, especially for nations with a poor mentality who like freebies. .
