Laos Food Security Project

Laos has one of the highest rates of child malnutrition in the Western Pacific Region - about 1 in 3 children are malnourished. Malnutrition raises the risks of infant and child morbidity and mortality. It can also impair children's brain and motor development permanently - limiting their growth and potential.
Through this food security project, World Vision's goal is to improve access for children and their caregivers to nutritious food all year round. The project includes training households on small livestock raising and providing small livestock such as chicken/duck/fish, as well as other necessary support for livestock raising.
