Louangphabang, or Luang Phabang, literally meaning: "Royal Buddha Image" is a city in north central Laos, consisting of 58 adjacent villages, of which 33 comprise the UNESCO Town Of Luang Prabang World Heritage Site.
Laos is a Southeast Asian country traversed by the Mekong River and known for mountainous terrain, French colonial architecture, hill tribe settlements and Buddhist monasteries. Vientiane, the capital, is the site of the That Luang monument, where a reliquary reportedly houses the Buddha’s breastbone, plus the Patuxai war memorial and Talat Sao (Morning Market), a complex jammed with food, clothes and craft stalls.

True, you can find (mostly) women working in the markets of Laos, not sure of the reason..

The Laos gov should purchase US BOEING 737, or smaller size for to uses in Laos. Because in these days, a lots ethnic groups of people like to visits Laos. The Laos gov can have more newer airplane to serves and to interest people, the Laos gov can more earning financial living as other country does.

Vic, isn't it rather fascinating from a cultural and anthropological point of view that humankind, however distant they are from one another, is more similar in so many ways than dissimilar? Take the marketplace, for example, which you show wonderfully as usual in video. We all seem to include into the diet fruits and vegetables, tomatoes, kale (one of my favorites), lettuce, among other things. Now, we might differ in their preparation. But we do share many things in common culturally. Do I make sense in my observation, Vic?

Jay Young Yes you do.. It is true that no matter where one travels in this small planet of ours, he/she quickly realizes that as humans we share many attributes which you identified here in this video, some of them cultural, some religious, some of them diet/food related.. It is the accumulated knowledge of these attributes that allows one to travel around and to appreciate each culture. The kale that you saw here for example, I saw it in Laos and in the Solomon Islands, I bought one every day in Honiara and after washing it carefully I ate it with local bread for lunch (it beats hamburgers and Taco Bell).. I am glad you liked this video, it was videotaped with my old camera (which has now departed this world) and it took such a long time to tape each clip since it would lose focus after 5 or 10 seconds, so it took over 2 hours to videotape all these clips and I must admit that at no point in time these very friendly people objected (you can see however a couple of ladies turning their heads away from the camera)..
