Soo cool! Andy, this is the first time I see this video. Love! how you have a complete different prospective and enjoyment in LAOS compared to many of my families that went back to visit Laos! I have not been back to LAOS since a child and wanted to visit the country in a FUN FREE STYLE like how you did! Excellent video.

The beauty of stick rice is that it keeps a person feeling full for all day. Also, the stomach does not need to work hard because it very soft.

Thanks for your videos Andy. I wish I had the time, the guts, and the money to do this trip. I drove a car around the Philippines and that was an exercise in avoiding death. Beautiful though. Laos is nice with much less traffic. The people seem wonderful and welcoming there.

I used to love that rice thing back in China. They cook it in palm leaves thought and with things like fruit or meat inside. Cheap and so tasty

That purple Kao-Lam is actually a combination of white and purple sticky rice, coconut milk, sugar and salt then open fire and roast. There is a purple rice but it is kind of hard by itself. Once washed and soak the purple rice give off a beautiful purple color.

In most countries I simply rent bikes. My goal is to show that any can go ride, and you do not need to bring a bike, but rather it is possible to rent and ride. I highly suggest using a local guide. Thanks for watching!!!!
