As a former US Foreign Service Diplomat, I was tested for my language proficiency. I pick up languages fairly well. But man, you knock it out of the park. My first post was T'Bilisi, Georgia. I know the language well, and I can understand a fair bit of Armenian. You should try Georgian next. THAT is a hard language as well. Right up there with Chinese. The written language is over 3,000 years old.

Laoshu, in Canto you’ve often used “gum see gum yut” to mean today or now, but that’s not what it really means. It’s more of a very grand way of saying “now after all this time”, usually preceded by “doh doh”.

I also enjoy shopping at the Indian grocery stores because I experiment with ayurvedic diet. I'm hoping Hindi will be a good base, but I think the people of India speak many languages. I discovered my friend from Hyderabad speaks Telugu, and I think many in that region may also speak Urdu.
