This is a perfect example of "don't ignore your gut instinct." Like many here, I was fooled into thinking this was real for a while. But, there were numerous things that tugged at my subconscious and told me something was not right. The lack of gloves The front floorboard being spacious The front window having posts The top of the screen showing bookshelf and blinds The sound. The sound inside this car would be deafening. Many other things just made me think something was fishy. All of this aside, I was completely fooled for half of the lap. Completely. Amazing job, I'm jealous of your gaming setup. Nice video.

The only thing missing from this virtual masterpiece is the simulated trackside daylight and tree shadows that flash by on the bonnet and car fenders inside the car too.

Very nice homebuilt cockpit, very immersive. Clever, as was said very few clues, see the room above the cockpit, notes inside the car never moved, No raring gloves, Paddles shifters available, but not use. All in all a AAA+++ for effort and effect.

Windshield wipers don't , table legs , cpu on the left, blue light on right corners of all the screens, but really no gloves, the Gauge on top of the hood, no rattle, the track is brutal on the car. Are driving with all the assistance on, no tire warming. I don't get it, I'm probably just hating cause I never had that when I was young, and now to old to get gaming. Cool if you can compete. BTW. Thanks for sharing it was interesting to watch anyways🙃

By that, I mean, could a man learn the course in preparation for actually travellling to Germany to drive the real thing and expect to be fully prepared?

+WoodenYouKnowIt hello man tks for watching. This and iracing version are laser scanned, so you could say they are very accurate. So yes these sims could help you learn the track. If you are going, practice until you memorize all curves, bumps and elevation changes and have fun at the ring!

It will be a while before I can get set up for something like this as I have SO many other things on my plate right now. But I've already watched so many videos of the "ring that I've got many parts of it already memorized. And let me say that your approach to Adenauer Forst was spot on. Most people do not know the importance of diving deep into that corner at 1:46 in order to get set up for AF correctly. Way to go!

Tell me how you got the 3-screens to work though: I already have a Fanatec Porsche GT3 wheel & pedal setup,but I'd love to make a proper cockpit.

+John Moylan recent video cards let you connect your monitors via hdmi, display port and dvi ports. In my case I have each monitor connected to one of each. Leaving 2 display ports unused on a gtx 1070.

Where does the shaking of the headcam come from? Is it from the wheel or do you have some sort of vibration feedback in the seat? It creates great immersion this way, i like it!
