Hello lovely human,
Assuming you've come to this video because you're due a laparoscopy, I want to start off by saying good luck! I really hope it goes well, and make sure to give yourself as much time to rest as you possibly can. I had surgery for endo and ovarian cysts back in December 2019 and wanted to document my experience so hopefully it can help you! Not going to lie - it was pretty hard vlogging post surgery, so please excuse any blurry/shaky footage... whoops.

I’m scared that I might have endometriosis and the fact of maybe having surgery to see if I get diagnosed with endometriosis, is just frightening to me as like I’ve never had proper surgery before 😢😢😢 what do I do to help with my anxieties 😢😢😢

I was in your shoes. TERRIFIED. What didn't help was that my gyno at the time kept brushing it off as, oh this is just a phase and you'll soon be over it. Then one day, I asked to changed gyno and luckily for me, a specialist had just flown into town. This specialist explained to me what Endo is and that i had fibroids. This was such a relief because i was told not to worry for a whole year. This specialist explained thoroughly what to expect and what my options are. My suggestion to you is just find out what you have. I'm telling you, it's not as bad as you think. But knowing is winning half the battle so just take a deep breath, do your research, switch doctors if you have to, and rest in the thought that everything will be ok. You got this.

I can't belive how good you handled it surgery. I had mine 5 days ago and I wasn't able to talk. I went to the ER because of pain ( actually my gyn called the ambulance and the doc in the hospital decided that I won't leave until they took all of this lil f***ers out of my body). There were several Cysts in my whole Belly - even some in my right kidney and at the outside of my Intestine. The whole area was A little Inflamed. I wasn't prepared at all. I thought I would go to my gyn and she would tell me to rest a few days. I really didn't expact the day to end like this. My fiancé brought me some clothes and bad room stuff but because of covid he wasn't allowed to enter the hospital. So he gave my stuff to a nurse who brought it into my room. I was so in pain after surgery, I could barely talk or move and 2 days later I still needed help using the toilet. I'm home for one day now. My fiancé is really taking care of me. I can walk by myself now- at least a few steps. Next time I have pain like that I will go and see the doctor earlier 🙈

I had my 4cm cyst(didnt become bigger) from 2005 and i got pregnant in 2013..but now the cyst became 5cm and appeared another one 8cm and i ll have laparoscopy in 2 weeks for uterus removal and cysts as i couldnt stand with the pain bf and aft period(worsen)

@@jazzibabi00002 I'm up for one next month. I'd love to hear how yours went. And I'd love to hear your best tip for 'dos' and 'don'ts' if you have the time. How long would you say before someone could go back to work etc? I know everyone is different but the more answers I get the more I can get a rough idea for what to expect. My 2nd laparoscopy is in a week on Dec. 4th. I have an 8cm cyst on my left ovary that’s been wreaking havoc in me for almost 2 years now. I’m hoping to have children soon, so it’s time I get it removed. I’ve had many surgeries but I’m terrified every time. I don’t wanna throw up. I’m so happy to see you are feeling better. You two have great energy and he is so sweet to you. I’m having my boyfriend and grandmother accompany me to the hospital as well. Due to the pandemic, I have to go back alone so I’m nervous about that. I know it will be fine. I’m looking forward to Christmas though! I had laparoscopy yesterday and was discharged same day… waking up from Anesthesia was interesting… recovering from the tube and getting my tastebuds acclimated and my mouth was soooooooo dry forever.

You can spend the night? That’s so nice in The Netherlands you only stat a few hours and go home. It’s been day 4 after my surgery and I’m still sore i am able to walk tomorrow driving for the first time. 😊
