Best video on sleeves.....👍👍👍👍👍👍pls ma , assuming it's a princess dart bodice.....do I take the arm hole circumference after joining d fabric?taking note that seam allowance is already added on d bodice.i await it response ma.God bless
@laperycollegeoffashion87372 жыл бұрын
You can only measure armhole after fabric had been joined if you are doing free hand. But for pattern, even if is princess, you contour on your sleeve pattern( paper) to make it align with that of the bodice.

Thank you so much for this detailed tutorial. However, my question is how do I modify this block for a 3/4( just a little below the elbow) or short sleeves length? Do I need to take my wrist measurement for that too? Thanks in anticipation of your prompt response.
@laperycollegeoffashion87373 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting. The thing is you are to draft your BASIC sleeve pattern full length like I did. At anytime you have to do sleeve, you will transfer from the BASIC pattern to your working paper, the length you want depending on the style at hand.
@temitopeadeniyi38273 жыл бұрын

Best sleeve drafting tutorial ever! Well done! I need a little clarification please. For the elbow location,is it sleeve length/2 +1 inch or sleeve length /2 - 1"?

Please what will I be dividing with what if I choose the inches instead?
@laperycollegeoffashion87373 жыл бұрын
This method and its formula/ calculation was worked upon severally before the final conclusion. It is best done in CM. Using inches will lose its authenticity. Thanks for commenting

Hi love your teaching so far.but I'm still lost on how u get 14.5cm a little clarification please
@laperycollegeoffashion87373 жыл бұрын
There are guidelines/ formulae. To know your armhole depth, use ⅓ of armhole circumference minus 1cm..( you would have measured the bodice armhole circumference both front and back summed together then do the division.
@wendybelle73543 жыл бұрын
Ok thanks
@shaymaaramadan913 жыл бұрын
We don’t add ease ?
@laperycollegeoffashion87373 жыл бұрын
Yes ma. No ease. When taking round sleeve measurement, we don't make it cling to the skin like bust and hip. We understand that muscles contrast at the region. Hence no ease. Thanks and sorry for late response.
