Always when I've bought a new bottle of whisky, I do the first tasting to try and pick out smells and flavours on my own, but I usually discover a lot more when I do it together with you at my second tasting. Right now I'm enjoying the Tripple Wood with you. Thank you for the good an informative reviews.

I totally agree we will be traveling to Scotland ( for the second time ) in a couple of weeks ! Will be staying on Islay for four nights. It’s truly a magical place 😍😍😍. We can only travel in December. Yes it will be cold and rainy,,,, but it WILL be low season prices, the distilleries will be in FULL production mode,, and heck the whisky will keep ya warm ! 👍😎.

It's a matter of taste. I enjoy this one but I prefer the Quarter Cask. It's well known that Horst likes his sherry so it's no surprise that he prefers this. For those that really like Laphroaig I would say the Quarter Cask will be more to your liking.

Dear Friends ! After I saw this excellent review early this morning I instantly visited the SAQ website here in the Province of Quebec and saw that there was only ONE bottle left available in the Province. It happened to be only 17 minutes away from work ! During lunch I raced down the store and purchased the last bottle ! For all those in Canada interested in this fantastic whiskey, there are very few bottles left. In Ontario there are none left. Sold Out. From what I can see there are 11 left in New Brunswick and about 20 in BC. If you have a friend in these provinces ... place a call ! Cheers !!

@@ArtMorte Thanks for the reply. Do you know of anyting similar to what Horst and Ben are using? I'm a bit of a glassware geek. I have a few Glencairns, some Canadian whisky glasses (like a bigger, stemless glencairn), and a few copitas, but I really like this design...

Just bought two bottles of QC from 2005. It will be interesting to do comparison with 2018 version. It’s clearly obvious that old labels were much nicer than those today.

$78 in PA States stores in July of 2019. Laphroaig 10 is in my top 5 fav. Scotches, but I have a long way to go. I will def. get a bottle of this libation soon. Thx guys. 😎

Bought the Triple Wood for Christmas dinner and it was a remarkable hit. I dislike sherry matured whiskies, but the blend with the peat finish coming in later is just fantastic. There's no such thing as too much peat and this was just right for me. It paired nicely with a medium bodied maduro cigar.

The triple wood is right up there. Way better than the 10yr and ahead of the 1/4 cask ... I would give it to a beginner. I started out on a 10 yr Laphroaig and it was a pivotal moment. The cask strength is another thing, everyone should have a sip of it.
