And then you’ll find yourself asking why they don’t like them.

Commenting on the shy girl topic: From what I have witnessed, gone through, & have been told by female friends/family members, as a woman meeting her significant other's family & friends, it can be nerve wrecking. When the girlfriend is meeting other women around her for the first time, most other women can be pretty salty. If it's the mother, tias, primas, or the boyfriend's long time female friends, just by knowing you're the new face, they treat you poorly. For men, it's much easier to talk to others, IN GENERAL. This is why men make friends easier than women, or why the female family members are so intrigued with this new face coming around the family. So yes, it is difficult for a girlfriend to come out of her shell, shy or not. Check your friends and family too before bringing someone new along. Check on your girl too when leaving her alone to fed for herself. Not all family and friends are actually as they seem. Also, this isn't just for the first time, even though I said it was but also the 3rd & 4th times.

Yes... his grandma has cut me off in conversation, made me seem like a liar, ignored me, and has done this infront of my bf which he made sure to put me in my place and her in hers, but even his own dad have tried to kick me down MULTIPLE times. I've dealt with them all with kindness JUST because he's my boyfriend. I am extra sweetheart on purpose so they can't say anything. His mother is the only KIND sweet person and his siblings. It's really not fucking easy. excuse my French. lol but yes I agree 100%. My family is the complete opposite, super loving and welcoming and talkative. As a wife and mommy of 2, my answer would always be marriage, kids, then mom. Kids have no room to flourish and get a good example of what love looks like if we’re not prioritizing our spouses. Putting me first is taking care of them too, because my children will see what real love is. As parents we will always be there for our children, but we also can't forget about our relationship. Going to the cliff scenario ( which I thought was funny cus lmao it really didn’t have to go there but IT DID and I liked that you guys still gave answers ) I believe that your mom and wife would look at you and tell you there only one obvious answer here. I agree with Sebas, daughter, wife then mother. Love for your kids is truly unconditional, no matter what, you will love them. I think everyone also has there time. Your mom comes first until you meet your significant other, then that person comes first and your mom 2nd then you have kids and they come first. Then your kids leave the nest and then your significant other comes first again.

As a mother, my love for my kids will never change. They will always be my kids & I will love them endlessly till the day I die. But my husband comes first. That is the relationship that is top priority to me. When my kids grow up & build their own life & leave our home, it will only be my husband & I. If that relationship isn’t made priority, that’s when things fall apart once the kids leave the home.

If you have a wife and daughter. The wife comes first because you both have to raise the daughter. The daughter is second. The mom is last because now you have your own family you have to protect.

On the topic of mom, daughter, wife: In my perspective (young 40-year-old lady, 2x married, mother of 2 adults and 1 minor child), I agree 100 percent with Sebas. Children, Spouse, Parents. Your children are your children forever, regardless of their age. Your children should rejoice knowing you have their back until your last breath (after that, I'm sure you can watch them from heaven). Your spouse is essential, but the reality is that there is no guarantee that your spouse will be the person you married and had all these hopes for. I'm not saying that it won't last, but the reality is that, unfortunately, many marriages don't last forever. If you are lucky to have a good spouse, they should and will love your children as much as you do and understand you are putting them first because your kids should be #1 on their list, too. A mother's love is unconditional. This includes loving you even if she is last on your list. She will love you forever because you are #1 on her list. And like Sebastian says, "She will understand and will want it that way."

Love seeing different perspectives. I believe that in order for children to be ok, Mom and Dad need to be ok first. So significant other will always come first.

Yup Sebas is ready for a baby! Good responses Sebas! You all need to redo this when you all have kids. I think Josh would answer differently. I’m a mom to a 6 year old boy. He’s my number one priority.

I asked my dad this question the other day and he told me I will always be his priority, but I already started my family therefor the man I chose is now my protector. His was wife, daughter, mom. He said obviously it was me first before my mom, but once I got older its wife again since that’s the person he made a vowed too and his person who he will grow old and die with. I loved his answer (: and I know he’s always there for me so I 100% agree with my mom being first

I completely understand Sebas. I would hope my husband prioritizes my son and daughter over me. You have to put your kids first at times.

I can tell Sebas is ready for fatherhood , he understands that kids MUST come first. That’s not a bad thing, I think it’s necessary in many ways.

I’ve been married to my husband for 25 years. He has 2 grown daughters from a previous marriage who are in their thirties and together we have a daughter who’s 20. I completely agree with Sebas on this, my husband puts all his daughters first, and I love and support that. His daughters know they can always count on their dad. His mom passed a year after we got married but he would visit her weekly when she was alive and seeing that I knew he valued and cared for his mom. My mom always told me to pay attention to the way a man treats and respects his mother is the way he’ll treat and respect his wife. 💯
