As someone who works in fast food when we say “anything else” or “what else can I get for you” etc it is bc people just take a long pause after they say one thing (and we’re being timed to get you in and out) And we don’t know if that’s all they’re gonna get. It’s an awkward silence. You don’t realize how much people lack common sense until you work fast food 🤷‍♀️ if I don’t say “anything else” they will literally sit there and be like “hello”

I worked fast food for 4 years and sometimes employees are trained to do certain things and can’t control how things are done. The sauce thing is an actual thing. If you've never worked in fast food, there is literally a timer for every single car as soon as you pull up. So we're rushing you because our managers are rushing us lol. We're trained to have each car go through under a specific time. At in n out, your supposed to leave the handout window in 30 seconds.
