Not at all, don't be silly! You can join in on a Hopp Rider Training session at Cadwell Park, or an IAM skills day, or a novices-only group on a regular track day. I'm very positive that you'll learn something and really enjoy yourself!

@@flatcapcaferacer I admire your spirit, it's something I had lots of myself between 40 and 20 years ago, I was young, slim and incredibly fit. Now although not as old as you Jerry, I carry 232 lbs, the ZZR weighs 585 lbs, the rocket weighs over 700 lbs. Just getting them out of the shed is a major workout, throwing them around a race track doesn't bare thinking about. Still never say never, Knockhill race track is fairly near and my cousin's son was Scottish champion.

Adrenalin rush! Great 360 footage. Back when I was a member of the Laverda Owners Club, they held a track day at Castle Combe, my local circuit and one I knew well as I had raced in the FF1600 championship for several years. I know I cannot ride as bonkers as I can drive, so chose to go out in the Intermediate group. Part way through one session a riding marshal overtook me at Quarry, a very difficult tight right hander and when I say overtook, I mean around the outside of me on a Moto Guzzi T3 Californian... with the right side foot board sending up sparks.... that is when you know how slow you are!

Oh, I'm Captain Slow's very slow chauffer! Some of those boys are very fast on track and on road. One of them had also smashed himself quite badly in the past on this very same circuit...

Trust me, you don't want it hidden by my back side! I didn't check the mirror was blocking the view, but I prefer it being able to see the front tyre. Happy to chat and have some 360 camera fun!

Great experience. I’d love to do a track day. So expensive and nothing nearby so I may never get around to it.

I'd recommend looking at a Hopp Rider Training better skills day or an IAM skills day. Failing that, any "novices" track day is good. Whichever you choose, I'd also recommend to stay overnight nearby so that you don't have a long ride before or after as you'll be pretty tired by the time it's over. Definitely worth doing, though. For reference, for the people who went on this trip for the track only (and didn't tour either side of it, which is what I did), the trip consisted of a day on track sandwiched in between two days doing ferry and autoroute.

That looked like so much fun! Its a perfect opportunity to develop your skills and get some advice from more experienced riders. I need an Insta 360, i only have my GoPro and our track rules also say we have to mount it directly to the bike but we cant have the extender stick mount things so i can only get footage of my dash which sucks.

Definitely a lot of fun and great learning experience 😁 I had the camera on a RAM mount arm, attached with a RAM claw to the mirror stem. I think the selfie stick would have been a no-no

Nice video bud, and what a nice little circuit, quite technical with fast es's and the long back straight. On the 360 and with the mirrors folded, Frankie looks like a blue hornet and is a bit scary 😱

@@NooBiker even on a full on trackday, everyone rides their own ride, no one wants to go home in an ambulance (which I ended up doing on my first trackday). There are, or at least should not be any egos out on track, that is when dangerous situations happen. As long as you got what you wanted from the day, it is a win.

Oh, you're allowed to have the mirrors however you like, but I chose to fold my ones in so I wouldn't be distracted and tempted to check them. Some people also cover their speedos for a similar reason 👍

Do you have to fold in your mirrors for track regulations? Obviously, you need to perform more lifesavers on tracks, maybe that's the reason why, ie to force you

Not for track regulations, I could have left them out, but didn't want to get distracted by what was behind me, as per the captions. No need for lifesavers in this one: not a track day, no racing, no timing and nobody was overtaking on the apex 👍

@@NooBiker really looked fun, no competing, simply go at you're own pace and get used to the track. In fact, I think that's probably the best way to learn without going to a dedicated track and causing some frustration with more experienced riders. The fact that there is no racing makes it a pretty much perfect bike day. Happy New Year

@@AdamForeman yes, it's about learning your bikes capabilities a d practicing road riding skills like cornering, braking etc, in a controlled environment (no cars coming the other way, gravel, pot holes etc)
