“Laps on laps” | Nantahala Cascades

Weather by rain or a scheduled release, the Cascades are worth getting a day on. A short and sweet roadside section with plenty of fun moves especially when the water gets higher. You can just continue lapping and lapping and each time you’ll find a new move. I was stoked to be around when there was a release, and managed to get a few laps with a bunch of the local paddlers. It was a dope afternoon!

I've been rafting this river since I was 4! My family owned most of the nanatahala gorge years ago! We still have land directly across from NOC i go as often as I can I love it! Be safe and God bless!

Ran this during my stint as an NOC guide back in the late 80's...Perception Dancer and Sue Kastorff's cast-off Silver Creek wooden paddle. My group all thought we were defying death. How "perceptions" change! My twice-separated shoulder will join me in living vicariously thru you, Mr. Jackson!!!

Most impressive part of this video is that the ferry at 7:33. Especially after that insane boof into the eddy. Also, you guys should bring the new boat to 'Toh (Tohickon Creek in PA) release in November
