Laptop Bag with Adjustable Strap & Two Hidden Pockets

I've been looking for an oversized storage bag for my daughter’s 17" laptop and found this one: sallietomato.c...
As an intermediate beginner, I found the sewing instructions just a touch overwhelming. Fortunately, there are detailed tutorials (including the designer’s video) out there that really help out. This is my sped-up rendition. To simplify the process, I used the same fabric for the exterior and the same fabric for the lining. If you’re up for the challenge, there are many great and wonderful combinations to play with to make this a truly custom and practical gift.
Also, to keep the length of this video in check, I’ve decided to post a separate video* to show the process of making your own bias binding.

The most satisfying part was actually sewing on the custom bias binding. From that point on, you just know that everything is gonna be OK!! 😂
