A major error needs to be noted. Disconnect battery before removing any component and wires for yours and motherboard safety.

I want to replace only the plastic top cover for my 5567 because pieces have broken off it but keep my keyboard, touchpad, and palm rest from my 5567 to use with the new plastic top cover.

Sir, I upgraded my dell 5567 with 4gb crucial ddr4 2666mhz ram. Before installing i had disconnected the battery and followed the correct procedure. Rebooted and checked everything was fine. But from few hours later my laptop was not turning on. Only white-amber led is flashing. What to do? Thank you.

Check the ram speed comatibility. The motherboard and processor of this model supports speed upto 2133Mhz. If the ram is too fast it can cause compability issues with CPU or motherboard. The ram speed should be slightly lower than what the processor supports. At this level of speed, smooth transition of information between components should be given more priority than the performance of the component itself, reducing any bottlenecks. 2133 Mhz is basically 2. 133 Ghz, pretty fast, so no need to worry about speed.

This MOBO doesnt have he M2 slot. The only way to install an SSD is a 2.5" SATA SSD with a maximum storage capacity of 2 TB
