Many laptop computers which was made 5+ years ago, (Dell, HP, Asus) many went for that blank plastic shell. Which was a fingerprint magnet, so in a way I am glad they left that behind. But again thanks for a great vid.

Just got around to seeing this. Great vid! One tip I would add: when disabling the privacy crap, after clicking the first switch to off, hit tab and then space bar. Tab-space, tab-space, tab-space. On the last one, tab twice, space and that selects next. That part of the setup goes faster when you use the keyboard.

Thank you for the video. I didn't understand why the laptop wasn't booting from the USB key. Once I plugged it into the right USB port, it was able to boot and install.

I assume the old HDD is 9.5mm thick. Is it ok to omit the spacer "gasket" that usually comes with this 7.0mm thick Crucial SSD?

Hi, I have a Dell inspiron 5567, corei7 (7th), memory video Radeon (4GB), with a SSD (512GB-upgrade) , and 8GB RAM (2133MHz), I want to upgrade the memory RAM at 32GB but i didn`t know if it's posible and if the laptop support two memory cards of 16GB RAM (it has two ram slots) at 3200MHz, someone could help me with this question.

Hi Dale. From your experience, will that battery still recharge properly and hold a full charge after sitting so long unused?
@CadillacComputerCenter3 жыл бұрын
Hi. The battery probably should be replaced. I did fully charge it. It seemed to last about 3 hours, maybe a little less. Dale

Why do so many tech folks pronounce SATA totally WRONG!!!!! It is NOT Say-tuh it is Sat-tuh. Last time I checked there is NO "Y" in SATA. If you can't pronounce it correctly it makes you look pretty stupid. If you can't say Sat-tuh then just call it Serial ATA. I am a PRO in this business for 34+ years and it really annoys me when people in the business can't pronounce simple words correctly. In the OLD PATA days NO ONE called it Pay-tuh it was always called Pat-tuh. So why when we replace a "P" with an "S" so many can't get it right?? Analogy would be all the folks who pronounce Fentanyl, "Fentanol". There is no drug period by the name of Fentanol!!! How so many abuse the English language always amazes me.
