Reading all those comments saying how it worked for them😭 For those who it did not work like me try reconnecting your video cable. It worked for me and if you don’t know what a video cable is, it’s normally a flat cable as thin a paper. I advise you to look up how to remove them because the mounting is different then a simple plug and you can damage it if your not careful.

Thanks so much . My laptop does not have a removable battery rather built in one but this 30 second power button hold worked perfectly . I only had to disconnect from power cable , held the power button for about 30 seconds and pressed again ... voila ... working again . Saved me some money and time

This also works if you cant remove your battery, just make sure the battery is completely drained, (i plugged it in for a quick second just so it would boot up and it would stay on for a few moments before turning off and i repeated this a few times until it stayed on for barely as long as i had the chord in) and hold down the power button while drained for about 30 mins, 15 didn't do it.

Asus s56cm : I’m always like to disassemble my laptop but i never take out my RAM, then yesterday i took out my ram then put it back. then today my laptop became black screen, then after watching this video , i disassembled my laptop back, take out the msata ssd, hdd, ram. Then i swapped my ram placement, still black screen, then i swapped my ram back to it’s original place, then Wallaaa, it’s turn on. Yeheeee.!

You should definitely try what Inna tell you.After just one try,my(my dad's😹) laptop turned on.In summary:Unplug your charger then take out your battery and hold the power button for 30 seconds then put your battery back in and plug in your charger then turn it on.Believe me IT works.

Sep 2020 with my Compaq laptop that I put away 6 years ago ‘cause it refused to boot. Pulled it out in desperation and did all three steps noted here-it was the memory card contacts that were the culprit. Moisture and oxidation although nothing visible. So now I’m transferring drive contents to my desktop backup since I can’t upgrade this old Windows XP unit. Too bad... LCD is still good but it is WAY slow. Kudos to the tech here.

I'd just use a regular rubber pencil eraser to clean the contacts on the RAM modules. 😒 Using a cloth can do more damage than good, because you're creating electrostatic electricity & those suckers are sensitive to that. 😏

Those who are facing the problem " after pressing the power button laptop shows its company logo as usual and then there is a black screen and nothing else" Just follow this :- press and hold your power key for 5-10 min then your pc will turn off and then again press and hold your power key for 5-10 min and release when you see its logo. Woah! Bow your laptop will boot to its home screen as usual. Try this it 💯% working. Don't forget to hit a like if this helps.

Tq, one problem was solved and i actually caught up with another problem as well, once windows boots it throws me bsod, i reboots another bsod and so on. And to fix this, i removed my battery and turned on lappy with charger, Boom no issue anymore. Ps: sharing incase this may help someone.
