Lara Fabian was a huge thing in Brazil (back to 1999) when a song called Love by Grace was extensively played on the radio. I bought her CD at that time and I listened to it intensively for the months to come. I now see people reacting to her songs that I used to listen a lot 20 years ago and that brings me so good memories. It also reminds me of how old I am now hahaha.

She wrote this song and the entire album actually, but this particular song is based on her own experience when her fiance cheated on her. Heartbreaking song and she sings in such a beautiful way. She is beyond words. She's just truly the best!! Perfection at its BEST!!

I think we have to thank Dimash for making many people aware of Lara. His songs alerted people to the writer and hence onto listening to this wonderful talent. She is simply incomparable. Her voice is as smooth as honey on a sore throat! I'm still drooling at Ti Amo Cosi and the way that she performed in that song. I really don't think that any female singer comes anywhere near her. The fact that she writes a lot of her songs just amplifies her wonderful ability. Great reaction to a beautiful song and a talent that should be a worldwide household name.

This concert is one of many gems she dropped along her (ongoing) career. Her eyes have always captivated me. She’s saying (and telling) so much through her eyes and her face. I love it! Also, she’s one of those artists I prefer listening to live tracks va studio tracks whenever possible.

I love this one. I discovered Lara on utube & after listening to a few reactions to her the reactors were saying she must be good because Dimash is a big fan of her, so I then looked for Dimash & loved him too. So thank you Lara for leading me to Dimash as well as discovering your fabulous voice. I discovered another great concert of her, years later, with Igor Krutoy at piano, the live concert ''Mademoiselle Zhivago'', concert in Cremlin.. songs like ''Mademuiselle hyde'', ''Demain n'existe pas'' (tomorrow is a lie), ''Llora'' in spanish, are just breathtaking, or russian songs ''Liubov pohozhaya na son'' (love like a dream) and '('L'ubov ustavshih lebedey'') - yes, she is singing in russian too and the audience it seems was amazed xx Try to react to the, thanksss!

Arguably, the greatest storyteller in musical history. Arguably, the greatest female voice in musical history. When I watch Celine, I feel like I am watching a performance. When I watch Lara, I fell like I am in an intimate conversation with her. While this concert is from 1999, I saw her live just before the virus hit and she has lost absolutely NOTHING in the 20+ years! Personally, I feel "Je Suis Malade" is the single greatest live performance from the single greatest concert in history. I know I use "greatest" a lot, but it's only because I don't have a more descriptive word.

She has a warm buttery voice and such control! The personal emotion is just amazing. Such a shame she's not as recognized like Celine and Mariah, her main competitors at the time. I feel she has a better voice, true emotions and a fantastic stage presence. She is actually better in person than her recordings, which is part of the reason she doesn't sell as many records and have the awards others do. She "feeds" off of the audience and gives one helluva performance.

When i first discovered her in 2000 she for me has been kind like a Celine 2.0. Not only that both are from Canada but her style has also a lot in common and Lara just put something on top of that. But for whatever reason she didn't got the recognition that Celine got. The only really "hit" i remember was "I will love again" and that was it as far as i remember. Btw. her first album was already from 1991, but i only have "Carpe Diem" from 1994 as oldest one. And the older albums were also all in french beside the song "Bridge of hope". This is why Beldin... She confessed recently in Canada where she lives, the reason why she didn't make it in the USA. At the time, she and Céline Dion had the same music company (Sony), Céline was already a star in America, when Lara only was a rookie. Lara revealed that Céline Dion's team (not Céline herself) did everything to sink her/sabotage her career as Lara had the whole package to also become an immense star in America, and worldwide. The music company didn't want another huge voice to compete with Céline's, and instead of supporting her, of supporting her style of music/songs (such as 'Love by Grace'), Lara was forced to leave it for another company and forced to change her professional team. As a result, it was all over, the other company formated Lara to make her sing pop songs such as "I will love again", a style of music/songs for which Lara and her stunning voice weren't made for, they also wanted her to lose 20 kilos and asked her to go blond. Such a waste, as she should be as famous and successful as Céline or Mariah Carey today. :(
