I do not agree, if you look at the world music critics and vocal experts, Fabian is considered one of the best singers in history, among the great ones, who may not have the fame of the others, if it is true, but she is super respected in the artistic medium and criticism in the music industry.

She was produced by the same company as Celine Dion - they both were brought to the French scene which is kinda the test for French speaking singer to go before the international scene. She got sacked by her producer because she started to eclipse Celine Dion in France... And the dude was Dion's husband... Next thing you know Dion is featured in Titanic while Lara was struggling with legal stuff, pressured by the people who were supposed to help. I like Dion but she was an underaged kid that got abused by her creepy producer - the fact that they stayed married until he died does not change the fact he was a creep and she was manipulated... And Lara should have been at least as big as Dion, if not more.

No one was suggesting that she had plunged into some prolonged state of depression afterwards, merely that she took perhaps an additional moment or two in order to recover and compose herself following this particular performance; one that was especially demanding and draining from an emotional standpoint.

I love the nuances of this performance- how she almost drunkenly spits out the line about drinking every night, how she snarls and gets brassy when she talks about listening to herself singing on the radio, it’s so intense. It’s like she’s becoming more ill as the song progresses, going to an even darker place. It’s an unbelievable performance.

Best female vocalist performer in the world. She can belt them with emotional impact in 12 languages. ( youtube Lara sings in 12 languages). Can Celine, Mariah, Streisand, the late Whitney, Morissette ? Maybe 3 ? And she writes a lot of her songs that she sings. 30 years and still performing without a vocal diminution of impact. “ Lara With Love” concert my all time favorite concert. This song, “ Caruso” “ “ Adagio” Broken Vow” , “ I’m not from here” , from this beyond amazing live concert. All love, Al

Actually it was Serge Lama's grilfriend who broke their relationship and while dining at a restaurant he told his friend Alice Dona (both are French singers) about his pain and feeling because of that separation and how sad and "sick=malade" he felt. When she got home she wrote that song for Serge and he was the first to perform it on stage. I'm sure you can find this song by Serge Lana on KZbin and you'll see the difference with Lara's version. I like both. I don't know if Lara had the same kind of heartach in her life but she sure feels the pain to be abble to sing it in such a wonderfull way. The song was written in 1973 (I was 21) and its one of my favorite. After hearing Lara's interpretion years ago, it doesnt get out of my head, I'm singing it almost every day. French is my mothertong so its not a big deal. And a admire Lara Fabian. ❤ felt "sick/ malade: separation. They're both franchement si gers buts he sang it the very first time because it was the story hot bis life written

Un message en français suivra… Yes, this song from The Great Serge Lama was composed when she was about 10 years old. But, just like a prophetic message, she as a matter of fact lived through every lyrics, every emotion and every notes, including when she speaks the melody. To her, her mate whom was also her manager (she came to live in Québec when she turned 16) is not without ringing a bell about a girl internationally called Céline! She was originally from Belgium and was raised by her Italian Granny. If I may put fall with another nonetheless important about this presentation, I have watched a lot of video like what you share with a sensibility but yet without falling into out staging the artist is of those of a remarkable singularity and professionalism which is to be mentioned as the greatest simplicity only a deep soul can achieve. Since English is not my usual language, I hope that this comment describes as well as I wish it does, my respect and reach you as a message to keep on the good work 😉 Là-dessus je me permets donc de saluer tout ton auditoire de la part des 8 500 000 francophones en Amérique de la Nation issue de la Nouvelle-France.

Everyone apreciate her unique voice, the highest level of profesionalism in everything about singing, but to mention, It is one thing to have tallent and voice from the nature, and and of course technical skills aftar much work, an devoloping.... BUT IT IS ANOTHER THING when you SING A SONG IN THAT WAY!!! I listened this song some time ago, in another interpretations too, but I needed a cigarette after watching HER singing it!...i think, i was too touched b this perfomence, watching and listening these lyrics and remaining with ''WHAT WAS THAT'' face!!!! Her voice and face saying she is exhausted ( 3:39 ), her hand showing the dead bird ( 4:16) , when this is already not singing but screaming and sobing (C'EST CA - momment 6:04) her face, whispering to screaming, her eyes, her fingers, her hands, her moving, MY GOD!!!! At 4:20 i was almost feeling i am the one about she is singing!!! This song shoul be ilegal lol from the start, and ... after finishing it, brathing and shaking like coming back to us after traveling to hell and back - that;s not something you see often. I need to say, this song is insane, and you need to have something there in the soul, to write it (thanks Serge Lama^^) and to can sing it like that, (you see who) and making it yours, your pain, your poison, your air breath. In an interview, last years, she said about this song, that it is always, a way to untie herself, to realise her emotions. And you can see, there are some emotions lol Another ...hard and crazy song, (with suicidal motive) written by her, in her hardes period of life, it is ''Parce que tu pars'' (because you leave) you should see it, live - from the NUE concert kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXawZYmPjtaNrNE Thank you!

Maybe it could have a signification for her (I think a lot of people could find a signification in their own life), but actually it's a cover. The song was written by Alice Dona for a famous french singer Serge Lama. The song was inspired by a real bad lovestory he had. This song is quite iconic here in France, everyone knows it, and was covered by a lot of people. Original song: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnXFoY2mop6db8U we had also a famous artist who covered this song, she died commiting a suicide in 1987. Years later, in a french show, the original singer Serge Lama sang it live, using a Dalida archive footages, made a virtual duet, it's really emotional : kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWTPYY2ViZ5gndU
