I always say about Lara Fabian .....She literally becomes the song.......While other singers try to sing a song, Lara literally Becomes the song...........Many other singers sing beautifully......hitting high notes.....long vocal runs and vocal acrobatics.....Lara gets totally immersed in all of her performances with such an incredible vocal tone while emitting such much emotion. Lara has to be one of the best vocalists in the world.

Lara Fabien stands in a long tradition of Italian rooted singers, besides extraordinary techniques it is about showing emotion in a very specific, mediterranean way. Hardly anything compares to this when it comes to filling the audience with exactly this emotion.

This is the song that led me to discover her amazing voice. I first heard this song performed by Josh Groban...but I thought it was his song. So glad I was wrong...this woman is the most powerful singer when it comes to conveying a story through emotion and her angelic voice! Wish I wasn't so late finding out about her. I first heard her around 16 years ago and just fell in love with her singing. I've never understood why she isn't more known but I guess just like fine cuisine isn't what the masses consume, it's junk food, just like some of these pop singers are junk. I understand some junk food taste good but it's still junk. Lara is the finest of singers.

This is the 160th comment here: I totally agree with her regarding what she said about writing a music or song. "The melody just comes out of me." Yes, that's true. As Neil Diamond said, whenever he writes a song, the melody usually comes first before the lyrics. And i personally think that there's must be some divine intervention running throughout the songwriting of sentimental music likes this, comes what she said "It's impossible to explain, how you generally write your song." This lady is making me fall in love with her for five months now because of this performance. I owe so much inspiration from her.
