She did start singing in 1986. this is her first "USA" famous production and it was a hit for a long time. But American producer wanted her only to sing this kind of gender.. She is a masterclass queen on ballade and interpretation and did want to do other stuff, expecially love songs that she did write herself.. But those producers didn't allow her on it, otherwise she would have obscured ( easily) their pupil at the moment (Celine Dion) so that's why Lara dumped USA market and moved to Europe, Asia and South America where she did become a Queen of course. That's why I love her.. Not only for her immense technique, breath control, dynamic, diction, passion and interpretation... But also because she is a true artist that didn't want to compromise with music producers and business to get her success.. She did achieve it with her insane talent.. Nowadays, she's 53 yo, still active, take vocal lessons to keep her voice instrument well trained and make tours all over the world. While, (unfortunately I'd say..) other singers are already done, paying the fact that they have been not so well trained, that were squeezed from the Music Business only to make money and did abuse about their voice. Lara Fabian has a diploma at the Royal Conservatory of Bruxelles where she did study (8 to 18 yo) classic singing, piano and composition. She is technically a Soprano, but she is so camaleontic that when she sings you can barely recognize her classical training. She was smart to keep herself always well trained and not to occur in vocal cords problems, and always make the music she loved. She is an amazing composer, wrote more than 260 songs, mostly music and lyrics. She has a immense talent, warm and angelic tone. I love expecially (and vocal couches also do) the way she controls her breath ( she is a masterclass in breath control) Her diction and pitch, always perfect (she can sing in more than 8 different languages) The way she switch voice register, so fast and precise, the way she moves and use her lips and mouth to create the right (and soooo amazing) resonance. And the passion she puts on her performances. She lives the song, she is a story teller, she gives emotions and chills, gives always 150 % of herself on stage. And that's why people all over the world love her so much. And she is humble, generous and always available for her fans.

More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music with the composer. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens. A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, her father is flemish, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia) and American roots ( her grandfather is from Detroit). She was raised in sicilia first then in Belgium so she speaks both italian and french as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today. She started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She now lives in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship She became very famous there and then conquered France in 1996/1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music). In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, stayed number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart for 58 weeks in a row and number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary and the song you just reviewed is from this concert. But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan. She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar through her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years. She is absolutely massive in Russia for instance. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace", used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera, topped the charts for months and become a recurrent in the local singing contests since then. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara. Out of my mind I can list: ○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version) ○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know") She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love". And she covered "Love is like a dream" before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva). Finally, they also performed "Ti Amo Cosi" together, in trio with Aida Garafulina: this is a song that she performed originally with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Sumi Jo then again later with Dmitri and Alina Yarovaya, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy: Igor and Dimash connected after his Adagio cover, also endorsed by Lara. Igor came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him after it. Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration: ○ Floor Jansen (Adagio), ○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime), ○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie), ○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow), ○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace), ○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow), ○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow), ○ Regine Velasquez (Broken Vow), ○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade, Je t'aime), ○ Forestella (Je suis Malade), ○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow), ○ Julie Anne san Jose (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Rimar ( Adagio, Broken Vow, Know), ○ Il Divo (Adagio) ○ Daria Bentsa (I guess I loved you), ○ Sarah Geronimo (Broken Vow) ○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso), ○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie), ○ Amir (Je t’aime), ○ Vitas (Adagio) ○ Anastasia Luna (Adagio), ○ Evgenia Fanfara (Adagio), ○ Anna Eriksson (Je suis malade), ○ Choi Sung Hoon (Je suis malade), ○ Soprano Turetsky band (Adagio) ○ Majda Roumi (Adagio), ○ Harrison Craig (Broken Vow), ○ Petra Berger (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Katerina Maslova (Je t’aime, I guess I loved you) ○ .... NB: Lara did cover Caruso , Je suis malade, and Love by grace, these are not her originals, but I mention these here as the related artists were attracted to cover it again after listening to Lara’s version. Today, Lara still has an amazing voice and tone and can still reach the 5th octave with resonance ; she still offers these emotive renditions that are her unique signature. In June 2022, she kicked off a WW tour and stunned her fans once again with 5 magical concerts in Canada. She completed the europe part in September/October and I attended a concert from this tour. It was packed and she was again spectacular. On April 23 2023 she had again a wonderful concert in Tbilissi, Georgia Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.

You are right indeed. She didn't start at 23. When she was just 8, she went to study at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. There, she learned singing, piano and music and lyrics composition. She graduated 10 yearts after. In my opinion, it's one of the best schools in Europe. She has a very good background ever. Hope you'll excuse my english... I'm a french speaking man from Québec city. Lara Fabian (born Crokaert). Singer, songwriter, b Etterbeek, Belgium, 9 Jan 1970, naturalized Canadian in 1995. Daughter of a Belgian father (who sings the vocal accompaniments of Petula Clark) and a Sicilian mother, Lara Fabian entered the Royal Conservatory of Brussels at the age of eight. Three singles - "All",I like youAndHumana- sold over a million copies each.Purewon Félix Album of the Year - Best Seller, and Lara Fabian was nominated for two Juno Awards . In 1998, she performed at the Stade de France in Paris with French singer Johnny Hallyday and embarked on a European tour. She also leaves and receives the Félix Quebec artist having most illustrated outside Quebec. In 1999, Lara Fabian signed a contract with Sony Music and recorded her first album (eponymous) in English, of which she wrote most of the songs. Its release in 2000 was accompanied by immense success, notably for “I Will Love Again” and “Love by Grace”.

I will love again was number one in US Dance club billboard during more than one year. But yes definitely not her first song, see my other comment. Please check also my recommended playlist: I recommend to start by reacting to Adagio. You reacted to the cover Dimash made of it. She wrote the song and is the original performer Dimash is her absolute fan and made several other covers. There is a rule with Lara: always react to her live, she is always 1000% better live thannin her music videos, she needs an audience to feed her soul and give her best. She is a language genius: she speaks fluently and write songs in french, english, italian, spanish. She understands and speaks a bit of a few more languages (portuguese, dutch, russian, …) and has sung in 12 languages in total so far. She even masters some of the regional flavors of french and italian. Pfff 😂

"I Will Love Again" is a song by Canadian-Belgian singer Lara Fabian. It was released as the second single of her self-titled album in 2000 and was her first English single. The song was written by Mark Taylor and Paul Barry and was produced by Taylor and Brian Rawling. "I Will Love Again" reached number five in Belgium's Wallonia region and number eight in New Zealand. The song also reached number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart and number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Elsewhere, the single reached the top 20 in Austria, Canada, France, Hungary, Iceland, Spain, and Switzerland. Versions There are four versions of the song. The English versions are the dance-pop ballad and the ballad reprise. The Spanish versions are "Otro Amor Vendrá" and "Otro Amor Vendrá (ballad reprise)". All these version are available on the album's deluxe edition. Reception The song received a positive reception from most music critics. William Ruhlmann picked the track as the "Album's best track" in his AllMusic review. The Dooyoo review was extremely positive, and it said: "This is the strongest track on the album - a real pop song with great uptempo beat. Written by Paul Barry and Mark Taylor, and co-produced by Brian Rawling, its easily the most modern song on the album, and should have been a huge hit with the correct promotion. It actually was a huge hit in some parts of the world, including Spain and performed well in the US too. Fabian sings optimistically about getting over a broken heart and finding a new love. 10/10". Music video Two music videos were made for the song. One features the singer in a house party and the other features Lara in a club party.

Hi! Few corrections. Like you probably already know, she was either 29 or 30 years old in this video. (Depends on the filming date). It was from her first english language (self-titled) albums. Album was first released in November 1999. Worldwide in 2000. She had already made 3 albums before this, and 2 of them sold Platinum. So this was not the first like you suspected. And the second album "Pure" contains the biggest hits "Tout" and "Je t'aime". But in "english speaking" countries this song "i will love again" was the song that made her famous. It was refreshing to hear a reaction of this song for a change. You are clearly stepping in a path that i and many others took decades ago. But you are welcomed! Keep on finding her masterful performances. And we will follow your reactions, you can count on that! 😎
