The whole concert of 90 minutes was just Lara, Pierre Grimard on piano, and an all-female string quartet. And lighting. A series of great performances, and Lara being insanely modest throughout. Wow!

You have entered onto the stage of IMO Lara's best solo concert, delivered in Paris. It is amazing how she evolved over the three years from From Lara with Love in 2000. Partly as a reaction to wounding criticism she was receiving from the very conservative French media about her "shouting" in Je T'Aime, she decided to "tone it down" when performing in France. But as a poet and much greater musician than the media gave her credit for, thank God she continued on her path. In En Toute Intimité she decided to produce a different sound and experiment with new stage skills, playing on the idea of an "intimate" (quiet, fun) moment between her and the audience.

To find out more about Lara You have to watch one of these concerts in its entirety, because the interaction between Lara's songs and her audience is almost as important as her songs themselves. It's hard to watch the whole thing as a reaction on KZbin unless you're going to split it up. But it can be done outside youtube.
