Great seeing you react to our Lara, our Queen, great job man, really awesome. "Where does she come from?" you ask? >>> Heaven. She charms, she ensnares, she mesmorizes, she will take you to the emotional place she wants to, where you need to be at that moment, with or against your will. She is a Sorceress. She is "a" or "the" inspiration for most of the great young singers on the world stage today. Why? She is the greatest artist\performer\singer\songwriter of the last 30 years. Her army of ridulously enthusiastic adoring fans is huge, and global, however, she may be the least well known of the Giants...sadly. For me, she is the best...the Queen...long may she reign.

This song talks about a woman still living and in love with a narcissistic perverse, she's in despair because that destroys her and she wants to die. This is a cover from Serge Lama who wrote that song with Alice Donna in the 70's, he lived that, as I also did. Even if I really don't love my ex husband anymore, he stills do everything to destroy me. There are so many toxic relationships... You have the same video with english subtitles. Thanks for your reaction and love from France 🇫🇷😘

Thanks again for your reaction. Please take a look of the following 2 Lara's songs: "You're not from Here" - live from Lara with Love, and "Love by Grace" - live from the Juno Awards - you will stay amazed. And certainly after these 2 performances Lara will be not just in your top 4, but Number 1 :))) I guess you never heard of her because you live in the US. We, European are well aware of her career. I'm a fan of hers for more than 20 years. Once you hear her voice you stayed captivated for life. Her career was prohibited in the US by the team of Celine Dion because, according to many Lara is better and they felt threatened by her. They (towards with Sony) tried to push here career to the dance music but she refused to do so, and that's why she was stopped in the US. But she continued her progress to the greatness in Europe, South America, Asia, and mostly in Canada. But, I'm glad that most of the Americans are already introduced to Lara, and they are totally captivated by her as all of us.

More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 4 languages fluently (french, italian, english, spanish), can speak a bit of sicilian, russian and dutch, and has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music with the composer. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens. A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, her father is flemish, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia). She was raised in both countries so she speaks both french and italian as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today. She started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She now lives in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship She became very famous there and then conquered France in 1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music). In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, stayed number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart for 58 weeks in a row and number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary and the song you just reviewed is from this concert. But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan. She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar thru her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace", used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera, topped the charts for months. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban, … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. He covered many of her songs (that she performed originally ; she also wrote some of these). Out of my mind I can list: ○ Adagio, ○ Mademoiselle Hyde, ○ Know, ○ Love of tired swans She also wrote the lyrics of his song « Your Love ». And she covered « Love is like a dream » before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva). They also performed Ti Amo Cosi together with Aida Garafulina: this is a song that she performed originally with Dmitriy Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy who came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him. Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs: ○ Floor Jansen (Adagio), ○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime), ○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie), ○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow), ○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace), ○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow), ○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow), ○ Regine Velasquez (Broken Vow), ○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade, Je t'aime), ○ Daria Bentsa (I guess I loved you), ○ Julie Anne san Jose (Broken Vow), ○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso), ○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie), ○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow), ○ Forestella (Je suis Malade), ○ .... Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.

Lara Fabian, she has beautiful velvety and heavenly voice . Lara's tone of voice is so warm, strong, rich and full, elegant, graceful and glorious alongside the delicate sweet feminine texture and lyric soprano type. Her singing is so proportional and emotional, really she has unique voice. She never shrills or has bothering voice even at high notes. A very round and pleasant voice. It is candy for the ear, liquit gold a voice teacher once said...To listen to the whole day.... I don'y know any other pop singing vocalist with this characteristic in his or her voice.(or at least to her very high level)...... Her appearance during a performance can be called sober. No group of dancers behind them, very sober clothing, no conspicuous false fingernails, a minimum of make-up. All the audience gets are her emotional renditions with her 4.1 octave voice in 12 different languages..

There are versions with English subtitles. When you listen to french songs ou must understand the lyrics. Most of the songs are stories ( short stories , but good ones). Next time try to find version with English subtitles. You will understand why lyrics are so important in french songs.
@ericsicard9102 жыл бұрын
“Je suis Malade” was written by famous French singer & songwriter Serge Lama together with composer/singer Alice Dona in 1973. This is based on his own experience and he was the original performer, hence some lyrics are a bit male-oriented (eg my mother leaves me, whiskies, I pour my blood in your body, …). When Serge Lama had a dinner with Alice Dona and told her about his obsessive love that was leading to a road block, she came back home and compose the music in a couple of hours. The morning after, she presented him the music and he wrote the lyrics in … 20 minutes. Serge Lama was the original performer in 1973, but a few months after, Dalida covered it and brought it to fame. She was an absolute mega star in France, another emotional powerhouse, and this song resonated very much with her own feelings. Her success with this song transformed it into a french classic, and started to make it famous abroad. But it is Lara Fabian that really made this song a very popular song in many countries with her cover in the mid 90s. At that time Dalida had already passed away, but Serge Lama was (and is) still alive. Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version. She was unknown at that time in France but he was so impressed with her vocal skills and her emotions rendering that he invited her in France to sing it as a duet. They became good friends. Lara has made some subtle changes to the song that gave it even more power and Serge Lama adopted these in his later interpretations. This 1999 version ("From Lara with Love" Concert in Montreal) is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries. The most recent one I am aware of are from italian singer Giulia Falcone or from the Korean band Forestella.

Hi Eric, that interview was actually in this video as well ;) - NJ heard and applauded it... Actually with songs in foreign languages I often suggest to listen to them the first time without subtitles, as often reading the subtitles often distracts the reacting person from listening closely and focusing on the performance, so I'd suggest to have a second go with subtitles either in one video or in a seperate video. Anyway I made the experience that if a song doesn't get me without subtitles, it won't get me with subs either... Currently I listen a lot to Mon Laferte from Chile who sings mostly Spanish, which I don't understand very well... only if I especially like a song (which with her is almost every one...) I see if I can have subs or look for a lyrics translation... One song she even sung in Japanese... and it's very beautiful even without knowing what exactly it is about... hope you're having an amazing day and enjoy it, my friend!

Please react to DIMASH Kudaibergen. He is the best male vocalist in the world. Lara Fabian is DIMASH idol. Like Lara, DIMASH sings with full emotion and passion. You can begin to DIMASH with the song S.O.S 2021. Thank you for this reaction to Lara. 100 likes.
