Thank you for reaction to this song. It has become one favourite Lara songs even though I love them all. This beautiful and rather elegant lady currently reigns as the world's best female performing artist. To many she is seen and accepted as the Queen.

The music of Broken Vow was co-composed by Walter Afanassiev and Lara Fabian. Walter Afanassiev, an american/brazilian from russian descent, is a legendary composer and producer (he co-composed some of the greatest initial hits of Mariah Carey such as All I Want for Christmas is You or Hero and was the producer of the Titanic soundtrack that brought Celine Dion to WW fame). He is also now the producer of Dimash for his US career. When this song was composed, Walter and Lara were engaged, they were living in San Francisco’s bay area, but apparently he cheated and she decided to break up. When she took this decision, that she knew would dramatically change both her personal and professional destiny, she wrote these incredible lyrics. Lara has said this is her preferred english song from all the songs she wrote in this language (there are many, and some are pure jewels). One reason is also because this song has then been covered by the greatests: - Barbra Streisand (she performed it in concerts from one of her tour but never recorded it), - Josh Groban (his cover made this song famous in US, she is her friend and role model and he made several duets with her), - Linda Eder, - Cakra Khan, - Gigi de Lana, - Regine Velasquez, - Almira (from 4th Impact), - Katrina Velarde, - Julie Anne San Jose, - Sarah Geronimo, - Morissette Amon, - Petra Berger, - Harrison Craig, - Rimar, - Jackie Evancho, - … For Jackie Evancho, and at the request of Jackie's parents who found the original lyrics were not a good fit for a young girl, Lara rewrote Broken Vow in french as "Imaginer" with a complete different meaning. I recommend a Spanish singer, her name is Diana Navarro. She is a very versatile singer who sings different musical styles with a very particular voice and incredible melismas, she always transmits when she sings. The song is "El perdón" official video clip. Best regards

Thank you very much for your reaction to this performance. I still don't believe that the American music lobby did not value this talent in '99. I live in Turkey, I am a Turk. I was 10 years old when Lara's English album was released. I used to listen to the song "I Will Love Again" on pop channels and knew it by heart. How could people be so bad and ruin someone's career? I'm 36 years old now and I'm still angry about what happened then. Lara Fabian is now 53 years old, but she still carries the same shine in both her heart and voice. We want to see more Lara videos on your channel...

If you're not American, you're simply non-existent. You're nothing. They don't give a....about any other nation. They should never be mentioned or be compared to. I am a musician, so believe me when I say that the vast majority of those in the US music industry whether, composer, instrumentalist, etc. Have no clue of what true opera music sound like. Even if they do they can't execute it as such. Their so-called opera or classical stuff can never come close to that authentic sound. Jazz and free style is overbearing to say the least. Let's stay with and support our Queen, come hell or high water. I like your comment here about Lara. Thank you.

Merci de continuer à réagir à lara , biensur lara et unique , elle est considerer comme une des meilleures voix , mes ce qui fais la différence avec la plutôt des autres artistes c la passion qu'elle donne quand elle chante, la façon de retransmettre l'émotion de la chanson, ça voix , son visage , son language corporel et ses respirations exagérer vous touche en plein cœur. Continue avec ce même concert . Perdere amor en italien et quedate en espagnol et après tu pourra réagir à son album mademoiselle zhivago sorti en 2010 concert Moscou 2010. Sache que lara chante dans 12langues différente et parle couramment 5 langues.
