This is a rendition she made at the JUNO awards, the canadian equivalent of the grammies. This song made Lara a star in Brazil when it was used in the soundtrack of a famous local soap opera called Laços de Familia. It topped the brazilian charts for a few months and she was invited in all major brazilian tv shows. Then the song became a recurrent in almost every single brazilian singer contests, the ultimate song to prove your vocal power. So a lot of brazilian covers including a famous recent one from Gabriel Henrique. But it was completely revisited as a ballad for Lara and Lara’s version is the one that made it a success WW. After this brazil tour, to thanks her brazilian fans who received her as a queen, she translated one of her most famous french hits in portuguese: "Si tu m’aimes" became "Meu grande amor". It was used again for another soap opera titled "O Clone" and became another big hit in Brazil 😀 Unfortunately no live recording available of her delivery of this other song, just the audio record.

Lara is not only a gifted singer with mesmerizing talent in regards to her tonal quality, her clear and precise diction, her unsurpassed resonance, and her powerful and emotional storytelling abilities but she is one of the best composer / songwriters of all time..........she presents a story vocally better than anyone I've ever heard but each of those songs she writes is equisitely written - more a poet than just a songwriter

Once again thank you Angie for coming back to Lara with this wonderful song. In this performance Lara is magnificent and fully lives her song. I still prefer her performance of this song in the concert "From Lara with Love" because the vocal performance is masterful. I know that you admire Gabriel and you could also do his cover of this song which is superb but I would always prefer Lara's interpretation 😋😁

Great reaction Angie. Lara is the Queen. I would recommend Je t'aime live in Paris but I warn you it will make you cry. Another great song is Pedere Amour performe😂d in Italian. ( not sure if spelling is correct. )A nice upbeat pop song is I Will Love Again which was a big hit in the US early on. I think you will love her Yentl Medley and you definitely need to see it ( performed at the Montreal Forum). By the way if you didn't know Lara is doing a world tour in 2024. I already have my tickets for Ottawa in June.

Angie sweety her first name is Lara. Not Lora, not Laura. Her second name is FabiAn. Not Feibian etc etc. It is from her mother's Italian name FabiΆno. We raise our voice on the LAST syllable like we do with most of French names. Wtf, it's incredible how many music reactors for so many years insist on this wrong pronunciation

That's how they've always said it in the USA. It must be because of the pronunciation of the syllables... It doesn't shock me. Even the great David Foster pronounces it like that.
