In October 1988, the D.S. fan club of Southern California held a Halloween party + birthday party for Lara Parker. We showed clips from Dark Shadows and I inserted her reactions right onto the screen. She was presented with a lovely gift and cake.

What would Dark Shadows be without Lara Parker? I hated her so much on the show, but that is what made it so fun. Jerry Lacy looked like he wanted to crack up! What Lara says about the special tension is true, and I think it is one of the reasons I loved the show so much. Everything felt so real.

I think many of the DS Actors were "Typecast." Not All..like David Selby or Kate Jackson, however....Lara was indelibly associated with the EVIL WITCH and, back then, Actors Didn't have as many options to remake their careers.

Loved her and the show. I even named my daughter after one of her characters. The one she played called Cassandra. My wife was happy with the name, Cassandra. But, Wouldn't allow me to name her Angelique. I watched the show when it was 1st broadcast on A.B.C. after school. I still love the show.

Fantastic show. Lara was the ideal Angelique, I am happy that she got this role and was able to work with such a class of real professionals. Her eyes!, the way she put out her arms that froze a man in his place before she gave her vampire bite. You can tell she got a kick out of it.

@@flyguy1827 Nope not at all. I have known Ms. Parker for many years through the conventions . She was very close to Frid. She is very humble and grounded and she did not buy into any of the Hollywood crap. She also returned to school and earned degrees and then wrote four books that have since been reprinted numerous times and truth, she does not use her religion to judge nor condemn others like some hateful religious DS fans have done for years smh.

These Jaytee DS gathering videos are an absolute must They capture the DS actors in their prime at the height of all the DS gatherings when many of the questions and answers were still fresh and exciting. Note to self: I see you David at 05:33 With my knowledge of the present, I wish that I could take Quentin's Stairway back through time to relive that gathering and then to change events in my own family's life when everyone was still alive. Author/actress Lara Parker ( Lamar Ricky Hawkins on Facebook ) still sounds awesome like Angelique still as of 2016 in all the Dark Shadows' audio drama CDs by Big Finish Productions

I've watched Dark Shadows whole series multiple time from Victoria Winters arrival to Carolyn starters getting bit by the vampire at the end. and I can tell you this I do not remember Angelique lighting the tarot cards on fire chanting those words. as she put a spell on Victoria I do not remember those parts at all I do remember Trask grabbing Victoria Winters I'm wondering was that scene cut out or maybe the CDs that I have skip that part. so my question is was that part in the series please let me know thank you for your time
