Hi Lara Although I am right handed, because I cannot use my left hand pinkie and ring finger I have to play left handed. When you suggest thumb, index, middle ring, I play thumb, thumb, index, middle. It's not perfect but it seems to work. I'm getting better with your help and advice. Thanks for another great lesson. You are a wonderful tutor. Jeff X

I keep in mind your suggestion to alternate loud and soft volume each 2d chord or as we go through the chords. That looks like easier than emphasing some notes in a chord only, which requests more concentration. This pattern is very beautiful but needs a low G string, that i do not have unfortunately Maybe later.
@LaraMarkowitzMusic3 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed this. Emphasizing the individual notes does take a bit more focus and practice 😉

Heart of Kentucky. Hi Lara. How do you make a E chord using two fingers on the the two bottom strings? Katie.
@LaraMarkowitzMusic3 жыл бұрын
Hi Katie, you can play an E chord using the 2nd fret of the 1st string and the 4th fret of strings 2, 3, and 4. If you leave the 2nd string open then it would be an E5 chord. If you leave strings one and two open then it would be an Esus4 chord. If you're looking for an easier way to play E, you may be able to substitute E5 or Esus4 for E depending on the song but they have different sounds. Sometimes E7 works too!

Hi. I liked your teaching method do much subscribed to you. Is there any chance you can cover Solomon books Cry to me? I've only found one ukulele cover and it has some chords I'm not able to manage due to my arthritis in my hands. I'm really enjoying discovering the ukulele and it does help my hands. Anyway it would be wonderful if you could help. Thank you. John
