I see Laranity's scheme here. She's trying to influence as many community members as possible into liquidating their materials and currencies so that the prices of materials plummet with the sudden influx of supply. Then the gold barons will swoop in and buy up all the cheap materials at lower than usual prices until the market stabilizes again and resell them all for normal prices for profit. Then all the gold barons will owe Laranity favors because she gave them all such a windfall. She'll call in these favors in her bid to conquer Tyria and enslave the player-base. You heard it here first. Laranity is going to be the new Villain in the next Guild Wars 2 expansion.

I love the simplicity and basic explanation given here. So many videos on how to make money in GW2 give you the first step about converting a currency into some item but then don't tell me what to do with those items or where to do it...I wouldn't be watching a video like this if I knew how valuable that stuff was in the first place so I appreciate you saying "convert this currency into crafting materials and then list them on the TP. Make sure not to buy and sell instantly to maximize profits." That's so basic but if you don't know you don't know. You got my sub.

back when we had the daily DRM, I farmed them HEAVILY for the tokens cause I *immediately* saw the value of them since you can get material boxes with a currency that has basically no other use... tyrian defense seals don't dip into your magic, your gold, or *any* other currency type making them ideal to grind for material boxes, to that end don't sleep on the Jade Sliver module for the jadebot, if you do a LOT of open world or plan on story playing a new alt that you boosted to 80, put a jade sliver module on them and just go

do you per chance know whether or not the jade sliver module also converts the valuable junk to slivers? I am thinking of e.g. Crystallized ley-energy from ley line anomaly, or Shiny Baubles from HoT maps, etc.

@@erisvenia it's not supposed to convert valuable junk to slivers so baubles should be safe, secondarily items derived from bags don't seem to convert either regardless of value so they're not **perfect** I've noticed if you're sliver grinding put it on a char you plan on doing core tyria world clear with, most of the junk is useless and direct drops, so they often (but not always) go straight to slivers. and do Tequatal, if you get the junk spoon drop it's a ridiculous amount of slivers.

I feel like one of the most important things to build up gold is to use your crafting etc to get the highest profit margin. Crafting a daily lump of mithrillium & charged quartz crystals make like 1g each. If you decide to buy trophy shipments, you'll get loads of t5 mats that can be more effectively used as t6 mats by using the mystic forge. And the same goes for most materials. T5&T6 enhancements usually sell for a good profit aswell. In general the best ways to earn gold is simply by doing the shit that no one else wants to do. Focus on items that are in high demand, frequently being insta bought and require multiple different supplies. Focus on creating an end product while simultaneously avoid selling raw mats on the TP whenever possible.

I think most of these are at least somewhat familiar to the more experienced players, but especially for newer players it's nice to have an overview of which currencies are worth something and easy to convert. And hey, I bet there's plenty of people around who are sitting on a treasure trove's worth of Tyrian Defense Seals 😂

I find things like trophy shipment only work if your somewhat lucky, which I'm not. Never made a profit doing those always break even or take a small loss. Just like turning lws3 map material (blood ruby, petrified wood, etc) into unbound magic to buy shipments never worked for me, always lost 10silver and made more money selling the stack of the material instead lol.

Unbound Magic is not too valuable unfortunately :( According to [fast], the best conversion is like 3 copper per Unbound Magic! So 3k Unbound Magic is like 90 silver

You won’t be. “Rich” is not a thing in gw2 unless u pay for gold or more gw2 accounts. Everything in game is centred around funneling people to buy gems or gold.
