Greetings, Mr. Jones. Did you have a Merry Christmas? When can we expect to see you again here in America as you prepare to tackle the PCT? Finally, you should consider taking on the Eastern Continental Trail (ECT). That one will keep you occupied for a long time. Please do come back to the USA. You are a credit to Australia and your personality is a much needed breath of fresh air. I toast you, sir, with a just opened bottle of Mountain Dew, or Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, Cherry Coke, Fanta Grape, 7-Up, Sprite…..anything but beer as I am not much for beer. Happy NewYear and all the best in 2024 as you (hopefully) prepare to tackle the remaining two giants on the American Triple Crown of hiking.

Unfortunately I got a two year ban for littering... Haha no, thanks for the kind words, but I am back to normal life for now. Maybe some smaller Aussie stuff , I've got plenty of other non hiking interests that keeps me busy. I've definitely got the PCT southbound on the list, possibly 2026 if I was to guess, but I wouldn't rule out 2025, we'll see ... Happy New Year !

Well done Ben, you certainly knocked off the outbound leg in quick time… you still had some of your trail legs after Arizona…. One month till I hit the Larapinta trail, and I never expected to have to float my pack whilst going for a swim! Enjoy the return leg..

G'day Andy , I'm finished now. Think hugh gorge will be wadeble by then , almost is now. There is a rope to tie the pack to now anyway, so no worries about it getting wet

Is there water at fringe Lily and waterfall Valley? Will be walking LT early July.
@andymacmac91512 жыл бұрын
@@Adam-bt7om I don’t start on the trail till early July… I will just be relying on the established camp sites for water, anything extra is a bonus.

I'm possibly going to this in the future - nice to see the area.

Gave me a good impression of what to expect, mice, flies and heat in June. Drinking warm beer would finish me off. Not a lot of people around? Did the pressure of a 16 day schedule take the fun out of it , you didn't get enthused about anything but your beverage.

The last 2 days it got busy, June 1 and 2, seems the masses choose June/July. 16 days was ok, I don't like sitting around all day. It was pretty hard because it was still hot , think I was still a bit depleted from the AZT in the states that I'd just finished
