This one is a banger. Just picked up bottle 3 today, and I'll buy one a week until I can't find it. Lol! This one just nails it for my palate. Snickerdoodles all day! With caramel syrup and a little red apple. Little wheat funk, little heat, long finish. Amazing pour!

Some reviews have reported this is very spice, pepper forward, not that it's bad. Have you experienced any of that with the A124?

@motohead077 The finish is a bit peppery and spicy. But it's not overpowering. I took it as proof heat initially rather than pepper/spice. Once my buddy mentioned pepper, I could totally see it. Don't let that scare you away. It balances with the sweet really well.

@@iowabassman4701 Thanks for the info! Got a bottle & tried it; The palate has a lot of spice, pepper that I like & it's not alcohol heat/burn. It's rounded & not like barbed wire, such as OGD 114. There is a little alcohol burn on finish, to be expected, but not near the amount I get on my JD BP 129.5P. This is the 1st Larceny BP I tasted & would have never guessed it's a wheater. Can see why people expecting a soft wheater profile didn't like the spice in this & say this batch is off profile. Have not had many whiskeys, but the palate of this A124 reminds me of the spice I get from WT 101. A124 has a much better & sweater nose than WT. Would think anyone who enjoys WT stuff or OGD 114 would like this & people who don't typically prefer wheaters, do to being too soft, should like this. Larceny must have made this to appeal to a new market of people.. Would like to see some whiskey tubers put this in a blind w some Turkey products & OGD 114. Then see who can pick out the wheater.

Suggestion. When reviewing larceny and ecbp please conspire to last years favorite. Most of us will only buy one a year (2 tops) so we know the tasting notes of the brand…but what is helpful is how’s it’s different from previous batches…if it’s the same and we own the previous it’s a skip…. All love with this comment and just my suggestion!

Side by side c923 was my fave. A124 seemed lil floral if that makes sense. The flavor profile left it short and didn't linger.

Got this bottle a few weeks ago and tasted it but didn't Blind it. Blinded it yesterday and... It Blinds as just above JDSBSBP and just below Rare Breed. VERY close battle... but Rare Breed wins and is also the cheapest by a sizable amount. Interestingly is the JD is much tastier up front, but the finish of this bottle is really really pleasant and pulls it ahead. Rare Breed kind of takes that finish but presents it sooner.

Taste is so subjective, with that said I like the Larceny C923. Not as good as my ECBP but those have gotten “air” in half full bottles so I will revisit the larceny after 4-6 months. Placebo are not perception is reality when it comes to one’s taste as it’s all about perception . I’ve also ordered the larceny B523 since many reviewers have rated it best release.
