Larceny Barrel Proof B523 Bourbon Review! Better than C922?

Absolutely love this B523! Went through the first bottle 3 weeks ago and was blown away! It kept getting better. Since then there has been a massive LBP B523 drop in Louisville KY (hello Kroger!!) and thankfully I know have 6 backups. It’s that effin’ delicious to me. Cheers!

I bought my fist bottle of Larceny last week and a bartender was in the store and noticed I was searching bourbons. Told him I’ve had a few different brands and wanted an alternative. He said this is a staple in his bar both at work and at home. So I grabbed the inexpensive bottle. After he left the cashier and I spoke and she pointed out the barrel proof and I love over 100 so I grabbed it. Last bottle and it’s a B523. Just got lucky!

I went bourbon hunting over the weekend. Went to 8 different liquor stores and only one had them. $53.99 per bottle. I could hardly believe it. They had two left so I bought both of them. Great suggestion and great video.

Found at Costco for $50 in Chicago area. Havent opened it yet but at $50 for a Larceny BP it was easy choice. Id have bought 2 but costco limited it to 1 per person. I wasnt going to open it til my A123 was gone but i may pop it tonight now😊

I was waiting, looking, and searching for the Larceny B523 because I loved the A123 so much but the wonkiness got me and I missed out. Settled for an EC B523 and was a bit disappointed but the flavors have improved drastically as the bottle gets more air. My personal opinion is that I probably won't be chasing anymore EC barrel proof at $70 because there are so many other great bourbons out there. The Larceny A123 was a milestone for me and changed my mind totally about "wheaters" so I will buy any that I find in the future.

Honestly I’m enjoying the B523 more than any other previous release! I love the value but it would easily sell for $75 with the state of things. A must have in any personal rotation!

Great review, My store has both the b batches for ECBP and Larceny. I definately like the Larceny better. I also have this years Rebel. I drank it in less than a week. Really really good. The Rebel for sale in my store is 100 proof. May be they have more than one version. It was Delicious. Cheers.

There is a few different rebels. The one that gets the most hype is the 10yr. And it is 100 proof. Good to know the L bp b523 is better than the EC BP B523. I have the L bp c922, my brother has the EC BP A123 and just picked up the B523, and i just got the L bp b523 for him. Wasnt a huge fan of the L bp c922 that everyone raves about, so i passed on the B523, but i just got it for my bro so ill be able to have it whenever i go up there, which is pretty much every weekend, if i like it. Cant wait for it to open up to put it against my c922 and see if it is better. We never got the L bp a123 around her but did get the EC BP a123

Found both this and ECBP B523 for SRP ($60) last weekend. Just a neck pour of the Larceny so far but am very impressed--my up front reaction was pretty similar to yours. Looking forward to a blind with my C922 and A123.

Ya know , if you turn the bottle upside down before you pour and allow the juice to mix, the neck pour is irrelevant. If you go to a distillery , they will pour any older or higher proof juice this way.

duuuuuuuude where is the blend? LOVE both of these bottles. the blend: nose - oaky peanut butter short bread; pallet: strawberry shortcake with a drizzle of house made caramel. one of my favorite blends in a while! BTW said on a live stream last year you'd be a 100k sub by this year. I'd put money on before October..

Picked up my first Larceny today. I tried the small batch 92 at a bar a few days back and was really surprised. The nose was very brown sugar to me with burnt sugar palette. The B523 I got today was very cinnamon on the nose and a very complex taste. I payed $82 and after turning down a $100 price tag for Elijah Craig barrel proof a couple months ago, I’m happy.
